Good morning Mick and all from a cold damp northwest coast.
Disappointing trip to local theatre production last night after making the effort to go out on a dark cold sleety night. I left in the interval after eating a Twix.
I do wish actors wouldn’t just speak quietly to each other on stage as if they were on tv. Only two seemed to get the message that there is a back row and no amplification. I was on row B so heaven knows how much they heard on the actual back row.
Housework today.
Hope your hospital trip goes well Mick and I love Bob Newhart, very clever.
Beamish sounds very interesting.

Good morning all from a nearly white Harrogate. That trip will give you the tonic you deserve GrandMattie
I remember Bob Newhart too (shows my age)!
Yesterday we had a trip to Wetherby and found a nice little cafe for lunch. Shortly after we got home DD arrived with DGD. I was so pleased our TV was now working, but it failed yet agai n. It’s the internet in this house!
Today I have a meeting of the Respiratory group then a Sainsburies delivery, hopefully it will come in time for me to accompany DH to a hosp appointment, then this evening a zoom meeting with my sisters
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning from a cold Sefton where there is a halfhearted attempt at snowing. The ground is wet so it's not sticking. I do prefer my snow on Christmas cards.

Feeling a lot better this morning & my cough seems to have subsided so will join OH in a quick visit to the fish man just to get out of the house. No plans for the rest of the day but will get on with my cross stitch which I have just found. Why doesn't stuff stay where it's put?!

I too remember Bob Newhart Ash, a very funny man. The sketch that always comes to mind is Sir Walter Raleigh on the phone from America. He has just discovered tobacco .... 'and you do what with it?'

Take care out there if you're out & about. Stay warm & safe.

Its the "winter wonderland" look out there in S Yorks, Quite a lot of flakes still coming down, but the roads are open and the gritters were out overnight. Very pretty but probably difficult for local grandams with childcare as the schools will probably come home early if it keeps on snowing.

Quite poorly and exhausted so its a day in bed and the cleaner aka magician already worked wonders on half the house.

But yesterday had been to the gym and essentials in so it doesn't matter.

Lovely holiday reports coming in! Bests with appointments, and grandchildren care, and take it easy poorlies.

Hope you have a lovely holiday BlueSapphire I can’t remember where you’re off to but you do sound super organised! Excellent.

Hi again that sprinkling of snow we had has melted no so it must be above freezing out.

Kalu huge congratulations to your DGD.
Wishing her all the success in the world 🎉

Grammaretto how lucky are you having a beautiful deer in your garden.

Annapops you’ve made me really want to visit Beamish and stay in the coaching inn. It could be this year’s Christmas gift for DH for a visit next spring.

Welcome home Alygran what a holiday you’ve had. Some family members have just come back from Costa Rica and I can’t wait to see them to hear all about it and see their holiday pics.

Right must get out to the gym.
Have a good day 🌻 X

Good morning again - got as far as the M1 and decided to come home. Now holed up at home with the snow outside. Very disappointed not to see your friends but hopefully they will stop off on their journey back to Cambridge from their flat in Chester!!

Just read that some of the M1 round us is shut.

DGC near Charnwood Forest have been sent home and 2 in Derby have too. Meanwhile, Hertfordshire have rain.

Annapops, thank you for the photo. So many memories of the early 60’s in that very shop.
