Baggs 😂😂. It’s a good job we love them!

Glad your mum seems a little better Grandmabatty, your roast dinner sounds delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed the shin beef last night, tonight we’re having what’s left with extra veg and some mashed potato. The gravy is to die for.

Brook my hairdresser was telling me she took her usual small cabin bag on a weekend trip to Dublin recently. She wasn’t allowed to carry it on and she had to pay an extra £45 for it to go in the hold.

Thanks Sar I’ll definitely do that from now on, a good idea
Blossoming I hope I’m ok with mine - will see x

Hi all, what a lovely surgeon Blossoming and very good news.
Yia good job your husband double checked, but rather disheartening for you.
The weather has been dry, sun in spurts, but definitely warmer, at last, garden is looking better.
Slow cooker beef here today, must be a trend.
Enjoy your visit brook., and I’m pleased you found your Mum improved Grandmabatty.
Have a good evening all.

Good evening everyone! The family have been, eaten and gone home. Boy can they eat! 🤣
The dishwasher has done its stuff and our rugby team lost. I have had a nap and I am refreshed, so now I shall go and cut the grass.
Good luck with next week’s house hunting Yiayia.

Enjoy your evening everyone

Grandmabatty Sun 14-May-23 21:46:54

Ladies, I can't begin to tell you how much your words cheer me. I thank you all. I'm having an early night. TOYA

Goodness me, it’s five days since I was in the Kitchen! You’ve been a busy lot.

These scams are so annoying, Soop. Do these people have no shame? Well, clearly not, otherwise they wouldn’t be doing it. hmm I’m glad your sister is home and I hope she is now on the way to better health.

So disappointing, Yia but better now than later. 🤞 for something good appearing very soon.

You’ve been so busy, Cornergran!. I hope your weekend has been quieter.

Lovely to have such good news Blossoming!

Granmarie your photos are gorgeous!

What are they like, Baggs? 🤣

That’s a big improvement in your mum, GMbatty. 👍

You have to pay for cabin bags now, Brook?? 😲 I thought hold baggage was bad enough!

I’ve been occupied with wee ones and my dd these past few days. We’ve had sunshine and warmth! We all sat in the garden yesterday with the children playing with some new garden toys - or should that be squabbling over them? 😂 This is a big part of why we moved - to have a more accessible garden and have more time with family. I’m trying to appreciate it all, especially having noted grandmas on GN saying that it’s not that long before the little ones are grown and don’t need you that much any longer.

My youngest dd is in the States visiting her brother. They’re both enjoying that. Ds is on his sixth lot of tablets, just two more rounds to go. He’s tried and nauseous a lot of the time but each day he’s one day closer to the last one.

Toya. Xxx

Catching up as I’m wide awake after sleeping for 4 hours. Irritating but not unusual for me.

Enjoyed the company of our family, they ate everything in sight before putting our fridge freezer back in its place along with two items of furniture. I watched enviously at the apparent ease. Goodness we had struggled to move them ourselves. Mr C had finished putting the skirting back earlier in the day, he’s disappointed he couldn’t do more where I’m amazed he accomplished what he did.

All back to normal now. We love the flooring, just a couple of tweaks later in the week,

A day out ahead. We’re off to a shopping mall and then across to go with our daughter in law to collect the dynamo from school. We’re picking up one day next week as his mum and dad will be at a wedding. Autism means it’s vital we are in exactly the right spot or he’ll be a very unhappy lad.

That made me smile baggs, good job we love them.

Say hello to Cambridge for us brook, one of our favourite places. We’ve not flown for a very long while, all a different world it seems.

Sorry the hacking hassle continues soop. Mr C has had a similar buggeration a couple of times. We found it quite scary.

Good news about your Mum grandmab. Hope the improvement continues.

That all sounds idyllic granmarie, lovely photos.

All very odd weather-wise here. Cloud seems glued over us, clears for a couple of hours then it’s back along with a cold wind. No chance of settling in the garden sued, that would be a real treat. Oh yes, do enjoy those young ones squabbles and all, in a blink they will be teenagers towering over you.

Off to read my book now. Usually drift off to sleep after an hour or so. Hope you’re all sleeping soundly. TOYA.

Oh my goodness.. So much has happened since I last popped into the kitchen. I know I'm going to miss someone out so please forgive me.
Soop...a poorly foot and a poorly sister. Bless you both. I'll be praying for your sisters speedy recovery. Good luck with the stoma nurse visit and enjoy catching up with Baggs.
Grandmab...I hope you get a chance to relax soon. It's sounds an exhausting time especially when you are not feeling too well. Please take care of you!!!!
Grandmarie... Enjoy your holiday in the sun. Just being in the sunshine lifts my spirits so much.
AnnS.... Wales is my favourite place... Pembrokeshire is where my family are from...and walking the south beach in Tenby is heaven to me. You will have a lovely time.
Yia.... We did the same... We had our offer on a barn accepted then I decided on a full structural survey. It was the best £1000 I'd ever spent. Everything was wrong..wet rot..dry rot.. subsidence... You name it...it had it. A very lucky escape and meant to be because we then found the cottage.
Cornergran.... I'm glad everything is back in place now... We have wooden flooring through the kitchens and it's so easy to hoover through. We have a rechargeable Vax machine that is not too heavy to manoeuvre which whizzes round gobbling up the vast quantity of dog hair!!!!!.
Brook... Your picture reminded me that I have 2 similar bags. Mine are actually baby changing bags but perfect for travelling with so many compartments. I haven't found a use for the changing mats that came with them... but I will.
I'll try and pop back later and bring you up to speed on the latest A and E visits... Both of us this time.

My dear Kitcheners, you have held my hand, dried my tears, made me laugh, allowed me to vent and offered so much comfort and warmth. Now I invite you to celebrate with me. After a sometimes gruelling five years I am cancer-free and discharged! I have been so fortunate and the cancer team have been wonderful.

I slept poorly last night so I am going to take a nap. I will catch up with the kitchen news later.

Thank you all x

brook2704 Mon 15-May-23 14:23:05

Blossoming that is such fabulous news, I’m so very very pleased for you. I’ll certainly join you in a glass to celebrate your good health! 🥂😀💐

Oh Blossom that is so good to hear xx

soop Mon 15-May-23 15:12:14

Blossoming WONDERFUL news deserves a group hug and Champagne by the caseload. Lovely jubbly.

I shall report back to you lovely lot when I return from hospital appointment and catch-up with Baggs

It is a beautiful day. I have more ironing to do. Mr Soop is gardening and making a fine job of it. My goodness, the baby robins have hatched and have started asking the parent bird for food. They are a joy to behold. Creatures help to lift my spirits. Especially after the disgusting behaviour of the wretched scammers.

Until we meet again. smile flowers sunshine moon

Jaxjacky Mon 15-May-23 16:00:26

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 15-May-23 19:56:39

I’m finally having a bit of a rest! Up at the crack of dawn to take granddaughter to school. Then the tube to South Kensington and the V&A. I was there for four hours. I love it there. Lunch in the Members Room and much time spent in the ceramics galleries, silver gallery and medieval gallery. I read half a dozen bedtime ‘Princess’ stories and now I’m exhausted. Tomorrow I will spend time in Kew Gardens and have another look at the Art Gallery there. Have a good evening.

mrshat Mon 15-May-23 20:16:14

Great news *Blossoming" - so pleased on your behalf! x

Grannmarie Mon 15-May-23 20:58:35

The best news, Blossoming, I'm delighted for you, MrB and family. I'll raise a glass to your continued good health, cheers! Enjoy 🎉 your celebrations.
Dear Soop, don't let the scammers (b@#!*@#*s) get you down! Enjoy your catch up with Baggs, and I hope your appointment brings some relief.
Grandmabatty, I'm glad to hear that your Mum is a lot more lucid now, sounds like she is being well looked after. Look after yourself too, and try to arrange a doctor's appointment.
Brook, enjoy your family time in Cambridge, safe journey. Your back pack looks ideal. We flew Easyjet to Malaga, decided not to pay the extra for large cabin bags. Its just another price rise.

Thanks to all who have sent happy holidays wishes and admired the photos, here are some of today's. We had a more restful time today, some gentle pool exercises for the wonky leg, then a wee stroll to a very busy beach just beyond the Marina, where I had my customary paddle! I do love the sea but I'm not much of a swimmer.
We caught the sunset after dinner, now we're relaxing on the balcony with a wee drink, being entertained by an Il Divo style trio in the courtyard below our balcony...lovely singers, classic songs....Hallelujah, There's a place for us, You raise me up, Nessun Dorma...
This is the life! We are very thankful.
TOYA, NNGB. 💕💕
