Good Morning Everyone,
Its just twilight here in brackley and dry outside.
Today being treated asa Sunday will see a small local shop and then stay in.
As to my visit to the Churchill all went OK , I hopefully will have the surgery done in May sometime .
They told to take all my medication regardless and to exercise as much as possible.
Take Care
Mick
PS Bus connections worked OK both ways despite more vehicles using roads for the get away

Good morning from a sunny NE 🌞 where it is 4 degrees.
DS and family are off to visit the in laws near Oxford for a week or more, I think theywill all benefit from a break as they have been working hard.
I have the day to myself so will relax and not aggravate the heartburn I have had for the last few days.
Have a good day.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Gwen and abitbarmy have my weather spot on.
Great time meeting friends yesterday. The first time we have been together since 2019! We will not leave it so long till the next lunch together.
I came home and cut the lawns. Today, oven cleaning and power washing.
Mary our step granddaughter had the same thoughts when DGS was on his way. She was reassured by DD telling her that love grew whenever someone new came into the family.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Friday Morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Beautiful clear blue skies here and I am going to make an actual doctors appointment as this coughing is too much, my sides are sore and I haven’t felt so unwell in a long time. Next week I go to the south for my BILs 90th so fingers crossed I get an antibiotic.
FaceTime with old friend last night whose mother has died aged 94 and as she sings, like me, she is going to sing Lloyd Webbers Pie Jesu at the funeral, which won’t be easy. I will miss it as am on the Orient Express delayed through Covid. (I’ve taken a test and it was negative)
Thoughts to kittylester Gingster and the dear daughters.
Also a trouble free trip yesterday Mick 👍

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, set to remain like this all day.

Didn't venture out at all yesterday, but got on with one or two household jobs, and spent the afternoon tackling a few more chapters of 'Hard Times'. I am beginning to get into the book now.

Shall have a walk up to DS's house later this morning to deliver Easter Eggs and cards for the DGDs; coffee and cake is promised! I also have some bits and pieces from South Africa for them. Then I shall get the bus from there down to our little retail park for a top-up shop.

My next-door neighbour has a big birthday today, turning 50 (only a baby!), and is having a party to mark the event. She has asked everyone in the close to drop in for a drink to celebrate, so shall have an early dinner and then go round for a glass of wine. Need to get a card for her while I'm out.

Looks like I shall be on my own for Easter weekend, so shall look and see whether there are any decent films on. May go to Milton Keynes tomorrow; have some stuff to return to M&S - the shorts I ordered the other day are miles too big.

May Good Friday be good to all.

Good morning from a lovely bright, but cold Essex by the sea.

I am coughing for England and didn't sleep well last night. I haven't felt this unwell for years, even when I had covid last year.

DH will be home late this afternoon, I have no plans to do anything today.

May Good Friday be everything you wish it to be. xxx

Are you in the Far East? Multi

The wee ones do need reassurance. When their baby cousin arrived 6 months ago, 5yr old DGD said she wouldn't be the cute one anymore.
What a nice reply alygran

Good morning from a sunny but chilly Oxfordshire after a wet afternoon yesterday.
Off to MissOops today for a girls day, I’m taking ingredients for some recipes that she wants to try that until now I’ve been making for her, sadly I think her hands won’t be flexible enough for her to make them herself, but she will try.
nephew will be here so that he and MrOops can watch car programmes all day and poke around inside another car that has been purchased and is in bits in the drive/front garden, thank goodness for tall hedges.
Have a good Good Friday everyone and hugs for those with worries and stress.

multi lovely photo!
You look so different with dark hair!

Gwen Nardini's is still going strong!

Marydoll Fri 07-Apr-23 08:47:28

Alygran, lovely reply. I told Dollie that she has a special place locked in my heart and no-one can take that love away.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Shropshire day.

I had a lovely time with the girls yesterday at afternoon tea.

Today was meant to be church and then relaxing but we have had a last minute request to have the children for a sleepover. Our plans have now changed and we are going to the Easter fun day in town.DH queried the fun part!😂

I hope you both start to feel better soon Sar and holly and anyone else feeling unwell.

Have the best day you can everyone 🦩

DGD1, when told (aged 3) of the arrival of her cousin DGD2, was concerned that she would have to share the grandparental love. We explained that love stretches like a rubber band to include anyone you wanted it to, and she accepted that but added “ but I was first!” - and she still is.

Good morning all. Oh what a beautiful morning 🎶🎶 on the Angus coast today. I'm glad yesterday went well for you Mick and your DD gained her release from hospital kitty - I have great faith in sunshine for its 'do-you-good' benefits, so I'm sure her walk with her brother will be ideal.
I'm sorry you are feeling so low Grandmabatty - there's nothing worse than the anxiety wakefulness in the wee small hours brings. Let's hope a day of sunshine and rest can raise your spirits
This is my "day off' today. Yesterday was tai chi (lovely) and shopping and tomorrow is tai chi on the beach, a long-standing feature of our Easter. We have done it in every type of weather - including snow! - so we'll have to see what tomorrow brings. My BBC weather app has removed every ☀️ but has not (yet) added 🌧️, so I remain hopeful. After that I shall be off to south Perthshire to watch Dancing GD dance and then stay overnight. On Sunday we'll probably go to the little cafe for brunch before I leave for home again. So a full-on weekend necessitating a day off again on Monday ......
Now off I go to leave the warm sunshine of the garden room for the decidedly cold inner regions of the house - I ran out of oil, silly old biddy that I am, and am waiting for a delivery sometime today. So lots of layers of clothes so that I can remove them to go out and add to them to come in!
Have a lovely Easter everyone and may the aches and pains of body and heart be eased in the sunshine x

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where it is 4C.
You must be a bus timetable expert Mick! Glad it all worked out well.
It had dried out by the afternoon yesterday so I mowed my little front lawn and tidied up the edges, then spiked half of it....to the puzzlement of a little lad passing by who asked me what I was doing.
I'm not happy with my grass and it's not happy either. It's very fine and has never done well in spite of my TLC. I'm going to try over-seeding when the weather warms up a little more. I'm not a lawn fanatic usually but.....
Today looks like being the best one of the weekend so I'll probably be in the garden again once I've done a few necessary jobs.

Stillearning, you are definitely not the only fulminator! I think I fulminate most days, yesterday evening at a mispronounced--to me-- word on a TV ad. Is that sad?! I know the younger generations don't seem to take grammar seriously.
A late colleague once said to me that he and I were the last generation to be properly educated grammar-wise. Certainly, I did an 'O' level entirely on english grammar.

I wish you all a pleasant day free of problems and worries if possible.

Gingster Fri 07-Apr-23 09:10:47

Good Friday morning everyone ✝️.

This lunchtime we are all going to DS1’s for Easter bar b q and egg hunt. It’s the first time it hasnt been here. Hoorah! Let’s hope the day continues to be fine.

Yesterday afternoon I walked the dog and we both got drenched 💧. My shoes let water and when I got home I saw I had worn the soles out. Soggy socks and feet 😩.

Kitty I’m glad your Dd is out of hospital and hope she continues to recover. I know exactly what you mean by ‘Waiting for the next hiccup’. Roller Coaster and Constantly on ‘High Alert’. 😨.

Marydoll poor Dolly worrying about Babydoll arriving. She’ll soon fall in love and he/she will be her little shadow.

When dgd1 was 4 yrs old, she was presented with twin baby brothers and a baby cousin two months later. Poor little love had her nose well and truly put out. We always made a big fuss of her but I know she really felt it.🥹.

Sar so sorry youre still feeling unwell. Take care and relax.💐.

Enjoy the day if you can 🌷🐣

A late Morning from a sunny S Hants after frost.
Good news Mick onwards, and a tentative date for you gMattie, something to work towards.
Had my last routine mammogram yesterday, 🤞 all is fine, a very gentle practitioner, quick M&S food hall trip after to pick up some ordered shorts.
Our granddaughter starts her return trip from Austria today, hopefully seamless.
Washing to do and pottering, lunch with my daughter and grandson. We don’t venture far on BH’s, traffic is horrendous, especially near the coast.
Enjoy your day all 🦩🦩

Good morning all from a fairly bright corner of South Lanarkshire.

Pleased things went well yesterday Mick, keep up the exercise.

Grandmabatty I hope you manage to rest and feel better as the day goes on.

Marydoll my beloved Grandma used to tell me that her love was like the sunshine, it shone on all of us. 🌞

Today I have to pick up things from M&S for a buffet lunch at DD’s holiday lodge tomorrow. We will visit for the day as it’s not too far from Glasgow.

Lovely photo Multi, no idea where you are though, your DH is in a kilt, was it Scotland? grin

Wishing everyone a peaceful Good Friday.

ShazzaKanazza Fri 07-Apr-23 09:28:13

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a lovely clear blue sky Hull.
The garden is looking lovely shades of different greens after the rain. Our garden is mostly evergreens and it’s looking lovely.

I could reply to every one of you this morning but my post would be too long.
My thoughts to you all today and 💐 to every one of you. Hoping you poorly ladies feel better soon.
Enjoy your Easter weekend everyone 🌻🌼 xxx

Lovely photo multi are you in Malaysia?

Wyllow3 Fri 07-Apr-23 10:11:57

Morning from a sunny S Yorks.

Its been such a busy time its a relief that there are no must do’s today, except I need to do the 30min walk its a use it or lose it thing CFS wise. Family are at the seaside, I think they will be lucky with the weather this weekend.

Better news Abitbarmy and glad operation coming up Mick and good wishes for other poorly DD's.

Best for poorlies, church goers and enjoy outings. (wish I lived near the sea I’d do my walk on the beach!)

Kalu Fri 07-Apr-23 10:52:14

Good morning from a sunny day in Glasgow.

DH is having slight breathing difficulties. He has a supply of inhalers but as these are oval, as is a chamber mask, useless for a tight fit for a round stoma. Back to my search and more phone calls.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Blossoming Fri 07-Apr-23 10:54:38

Good morning all. It’s a beautiful sunny day in this corner of Lancashire, though still quite chilly. The railway museum has an open day today so we will be out watching trains later. I have some jobs to do first.
Have a good day all.
