Good morning from St Andrews and I have a new granddaughter!! 🥰 My cup runneth over. When I was admitted to hospital recently, I was sure I would never see the baby. I cannot contain my joy.
Last night we got a surprise call from DS2 to say baby had arrived early!
I'm a bit shell shocked because DIL was booked in for a C section on Tuesday! It's taken me time to get used to it, as we were taken unawares.
We will see her, when we get back home later today. I can't wait.
Dollie was totally overwhelmed yesterday, when her daddy took her to get something from the car and her papa was standing there. She said it was the best surprise ever
We have had a lovely time, despite the wind. Thank you for the warning multic, we were well wrapped up.
It's a surprise we actually got there. We have driven this route many times, but DH decided to use the Sat nav, to avoid Coupar, where there is always a bottle neck. He took a wrong turning, ended up on a single lane road, with a burn at the side. It didn't do my heart rate much good, especially as I realised a bin lorry was expected and the only place to go was in the burn. .
DS was panicking, when on checking our tracking, he saw we were heading for Dundee. I was too. So much so, that I insisted DH turned right at the next roundabout.
I of course was correct as usual. We did arrive only forty five minutes late. 😉
Our stay was made even more special by a delicious Indian meal last night. For some reason, everything was fully booked and that was the only place we could get a table..
Today, we will give Dollie's parents a break from her non stop chattering, followed by a fish lunch, then home to see babydoll..
I wish you the best of luck for you today, GM, a very emotional time.
GMBatty, I hope you are feeling ok after yesterday.
Have a great day, folks.
