Good Morning Thursday 13th April 2023

Good morning all from a sunny Suffolk. Up early as off to visit my sister who was admitted to hospital 10 days ago with sepsis. It’s a 4 hour train journey after an hour’s car drive to the station so a long and tiring day but it will be good to see her. She sounds ok on the phone but worried they haven’t yet found the source of the infection.

I’m doing the weekly shop today and then some preparation work for my next garden project that I hope will mean I don’t get as many weeds or self seeding flowers in the particular area.

Today I await my delivery from Sainsburies , last week I had the help of my DGS sorting the shopping. He, too, use’s Makaton but sometimes makes up his own version which is not so easy to understand! This pm I have an appointment with the podiatrist, much needed before our trip to Llandudno on Saturday. This evening a zoom call with my sisters who I will meet up with next week.

Good morning all from a still blustery Suffolk coast.
I got stuck in the summerhouse with little pooch yesterday afternoon. Dh was cosy in the cottage. The rain and wind was so strong I thought the roof would be blown away. Eventually we made a dash for it!

Our lovely neighbour came in for a coffee and chat , so we caught up with all the local ‘doings’.

Dh went to pick up the new battery for our mower and they had ordered the wrong one 😤. Hopefully the right one will be in today. 🤞.

We’re waiting in for a bike frame to be delivered this morning, so probably an afternoon walk awaits. I hope the weather holds.
Then DD and family will return from their holiday to take their DDog home tomorrow.

Morning all from an overcast S Yorks. Fortunately the high winds escaped us, and yesterday my gardener came and the garden is spiffing and neat waiting for when its warm enough for bedding plants. day is probably just the gym and a Quaker Zoom tonight.

Good morning from a very sunny Black Country, after a blustery, rainy day yesterday.

My friend and I went on the train to a small place called Hartlebury for lunch. We were almost blown off our feet walking to the train station.

Today is a morning walk with a group which meets every other Thursday. Hopefully the sun continues to shine.

Hoping your move goes smoothly today gM, and you will settle into living in Bristol very quickly. MrJ's DD lives there, so we occasionally pop down.

Good morning everybody, and very many congratulations on the safe arrival of Babydoll, Marydoll. I hope all goes well for you on your moving day Grandmattie. I feel there should be crowds lining the street and waving flags as you drive away to your new life, you were so well-liked there.
DD and NewMan were bagging Wainwrights in the Lake District yesterday but were forced off the hills by blizzards! What some people do for pleasure!! At least there's no snow here (probably too cold for it!) but the far hills are white. Judging from old photos, this isn't unusual at this time of year but somehow I'm just longing for summer now!
Glad your DH is back with you Ash - have a lovely time together. My DH and I spent a lot of time apart in our young days (military-induced), but all the honeymoons were lovely 😍.
I'm glad yesterday went well Grandmabatty - a lovely final page in your book of memories with your dear friend.
Today is Tai chi for me, and then three of the other instructors are coming up to me for a bowl of soup while we plan for our upcoming in-house Workshop.
The housework is done!!

Good morning all, from bonny Berwick upon Tweed, where it's partially cloudy with bright spells, and with the odd shower forecast. Won't stop us strolling into town later with the pooches, for a cuppa and a homemade scone in one of the many dog-friendly cafes here. Two Brown Hares on the lawn earlier this morning. A lovely sight. Quite often see just one, but this is the first time that a pal has also turned up. Enjoy your day, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey showery Carlisle.

If I can dodge the showers, it could be a good day for scattering some lawn seed unless the wind gets up but probably it will be a day in pootling about with various little jobs....after I've done the big job, the ironing.
Yesterday, I organised insurance for a holiday later in the year. The cost of it is getting ridiculous, a combination of getting ancient--though I'm still under 80-- and having an ever-growing list of medical conditions to declare, even though they're very minor in the scheme of things.

Very many congratulations to you all Marydoll, on the birth of a new granddaughter. How very uplifting for you.

GM an emotional and busy time for you, may your new home bring you comfort and happiness.

Our family grew overnight by 200% as the family are here for a short while from Cornwall, much changing and moving of beds to accommodate 4 adults, much easier when the GCs were small.
But good to see them, and plenty of food ready for them as they are always hungry.

SIL sent me a message to say that Nicola Benedetti will not be performing at the concert we are booked to attend, due to illness she has had to cancel. I am disappointed was really looking forward to it.
Family must be enjoying their holiday as I haven't heard from them all week, they really were in need of a break.
I have been worrying about a friend of DH as I hadn't heard from him for a while. Yesterday I had an email from him telling me he had been busy at church over Easter. He is in his mid eighties but very active, travelling, sailing and enjoys his rugby and cricket.
