I’ve never known such a cold April! 🥶

A couple of hours ago the temp. on the thermometer outside our kitchen window read 7.8 deg. And dh said just now that it’s still only 8. And we’re in outer SW London.

Also, our flowering cherry usually takes about a week from the time the buds begin to open, to full flowering.
This year it’s taken 3 weeks.

May is starting grey with showers most days and through next weekend, we don’t want May frosts.

Yet another grey day.

Our heating runs on the thermostat all year round. If the internal temperature falls below its set temperature (18.5C), the heating comes on, regardless of the calendar month.
