Good morning all and the sun is shining on the Angus coast!!! Yes, really! There's rain forecast for later, but for now the sun shines and I 😁☀️
Grandmabatty I hope you're mum feels better today and glad to hear it's not thought to have been a stroke. She's having good care, so time to look after yourself now - I hope your little DGSs are on their best behaviour today!
Sorry about your cough ash and to learn of DH's problems too.
A few days in the East Neuk will be lovely, Marydoll, even if the weather does its east coast worst! I love that area and 60 years ago when I passed my driving test Lower Largo was my first port of call. For an ice cream!
Later it was annual visits to the Pittenweem Art Show, where every possible shed and outhouse was commandeered for an art exhibition of some sort, once all the front rooms had been used up. It went on for a whole week at the beginning of August - probably still does, but I've lost touch - and the atmosphere was wonderful. Anyway, thanks for the memories your mention brought back! And enjoy your few days with the beach as your garden.
Today after Tai Chi I am taking my friend out for lunch. It's her birthday tomorrow, but more than that she moves away down to south of Edinburgh next week into sheltered accommodation near her daughter. She most emphatically does not want to go! It's all very sad. She's in her late 80s and I think the older you get the less accepting of change you become. Anyway I certainly shall not be telling her about your Warden grandmattie! I shall miss her - she's the last of my close friends here.
Dancing GD is now back on English soil after her trip to Estonia. She even phoned me from the airport in Tallinn to tell me how wonderful it had been! Next week is her College end-of-year show so I shall see her then.
But back to today and I must move myself. Have a good day everyone, and I hope as many of you as possible are sharing 'my' sun!
