To live with a teenage girl in the house 😫 it must be 35yrs since I did.
My 18yr old GD is staying while Mums on holiday and my bathroom is a mess, makeup and hair stuff all over the window sill, never mind the razor and hair all over the shower, walls and sink. Shes now painting her nails and borrowing my hair dryer and brush. Oh please give me back my clean tidy quiet house. I love her to bits but I'll be glad when the weeks up.

Surprisingly my granddaughter is neat and fairly orderly, she certainly doesn't take after her father, or me when I was that age, I think I was quite messy even if I mended my ways long ago once I got my first home. Whilst she is staying, there will be quite a few open drawers and stuff spilling out of her overnight bag, but she returns the bedroom to an immaculate state without being asked. During the duration of grandchildren's stay there is a certain amount of disarray but to be expected, it never takes long to restore everything to the order it was in really.

I was incredibly messy as a teen, not at home because I would never have got away with it, but in student accommodation and various flat-shares I was dreadful.
I have gone full circle now, I’m a neat freak, so I thought there may have been hope for my younger daughter, but in her mid thirties, I can’t see much changing.

If she is pleasant to you, I would relish a bit of mess just to enjoy her company.. so precious

Just had three girls turn up for the weekend, came in starving, left stuff everywhere, and have just gone off to the nail bar.
Hope there’s a long queue, long enough for me to finish my chores anyway.
