Productive days Blossoming and Grandmabatty.
Gorgeous GrannyGravy
You’ll be on tenterhooks SueDonim a difficult time.
A bit lazy today, picked another cucumber, tomatoes and a yellow courgette, did some ‘proper’ dusting, not just a flick.
Then to our local for a catch up, busy tonight, it’s not cold, but a keen wind blowing, people happily sat outside.
Oven wedges and chicken with peas for dinner.
Enjoy your evening.

Love the toy storage grandmabatty well done in building it 👏 - have to say your lounge looks lovely too!

Grandmabatty Fri 28-Jul-23 19:44:17

Thank you ladies.

Charleygirl5 Fri 28-Jul-23 21:43:05

Mr.C update. Doing well and now in HDU. He is still very sore, especially his throat, so ice cream is on the menu. At this rate, he will soon be home.

cornergran slept for 9 hours last night and I hope it is a repeat performance tonight.

Both sons have seen their father, so I imagine one large sigh of relief in their respective households.

Thank goodness it is all over, I was seriously wondering if it would ever occur.

Jaxjacky Fri 28-Jul-23 21:53:32

Appreciate you reporting back Charleygirl thank you.

Grandmabatty Fri 28-Jul-23 22:03:10

Thank you Charleygirl

SueDonim Fri 28-Jul-23 22:04:38

Ds1 unexpectedly received his scan results this evening and it’s good news - all clear. He still has the blood results to come back but so far so good. I can scarcely let myself believe it - do you think that’s normal?

Thank you all for the good wishes, dear friends. ❤️❤️❤️

Jaxjacky Fri 28-Jul-23 22:14:36

Oh Sue you must be all over the place, dare to dream..x

annsixty Fri 28-Jul-23 22:16:05

What encouraging news Suedonim you must all be so happy and relieved.
I can understand you finding it hard to believe, you have been on tenterhooks for so long, it is hard to think things will be ok.
Lovely news about Mr C as well, again a huge relief all round.
I am happy as well but just to be in my own bed, as Dorothy said “ there’s no place like home”.
I hope Yia is saying that very thing soon.

brook2704 Fri 28-Jul-23 22:19:43

So very very pleased to hear such lovely news from both SueD and Charleygirl on behalf of Mr C
So brilliant for your DS and family SueD I wish him all the very best ❤️
Hoping corner gets another good nights sleep and Mr C continues to recover well 💐

Charleygirl5 Fri 28-Jul-23 22:56:03

cornergran has promised to get in touch herself within the next 2-3 days but I think we all agree she should spend time and effort with Mr.C. I cannot believe how well he is doing-the bracing walks along the seafront must have done some good.

Blossoming Sat 29-Jul-23 00:24:05

Just popping for a catch up, that’s brilliant news SueD and thanks for the update CharleyGirl.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 29-Jul-23 06:48:28

What wonderful news SueD.

Foxygloves Sat 29-Jul-23 09:30:13

SueDonim 🎉 🎊- what lovely news.
It’s such a comfort that we can all weep for each other when sorrows come but feel uplifted and joyful at good news. It reassures us that life can be joyful again.
I was saddened to hear about Granddog and send real sympathy. I have been devastated at the loss of each furry family member but tried to remind myself that I gave them the best “happily ever after” I could. Little consolation though, but to fall asleep in the arms of the one you love and who loves you, is a privilege not always granted to us humans.
Enough, I’m making myself teary!
Yet another BT Openreach engineer appeared at 8.15 this morning - poor man- the sight of the Foxyjamas and my “bedhead “ from an upstairs window can’t have been the highlight of his day. Yet again I explained that no attempt had been made to survey the drive/front garden prior to digging a trench to lay the all important cable but I was leaving it up to BT as long as they gave me enough notice to move my and my neighbours cars out to the road.
I hope Mr C is continuing to make good progress and that Cornergran can relax at last.
Happy to see Soop back too, but please, for your own and all our sakes, ca’ canny!

Yiayia4 Sat 29-Jul-23 10:27:20

Thank you so much for the lovely posts and messages. I can’t find the words to express myself but they mean a lot to me. ❤️

I hope Corner is seeing a big improvement in MrC today.

Love the photo of Harper - anyone else remember Spotty Dog from The Woodentops? They were my favourite childhood tv programme!

Yiayia4 Sat 29-Jul-23 13:38:37

Loved the wooden tops.My favourite also.🤣

hulahoop Sat 29-Jul-23 13:59:01

Wonderful news Sue . I hope Corner finds Mr Corner improving.
Granmarie I am sending a virtual (((hug))) .
There is a lot of sorting out cupboards etc on here you make me feel lazy ,I can't seem to summon energy at the moment .Have a good day everyone.

soop Sat 29-Jul-23 15:34:36

It is most certainly a good news day.

Sue Your dear son's latest scan is a dream come true. I am thrilled and trust that, from hereon, he will continue to make steady progress and begin to enjoy life to the full.

Corner Good news regarding your dear husband.

Foxygloves I found your message both hugely moving and appropriate. Thank you.

brook2704 Sat 29-Jul-23 16:32:29

Gorgeous picture of Harper yia looks like he’s ready to play!
I’ve just sat down for a rest after cleaning and tidying all day - one job just leads to another and so on… cheeky DH said we only ever do the ‘proper’ cleaning when we’ve guests coming to stay - most times it’s a quick wipe over and we’re done 🤣
Some sort of cauliflower, lentils, spinach and rice dish for later as I’m trying out a new recipe 😳
I remember the wooden tops too - was it watch with mother on at lunchtimes?

Grandmabatty Sat 29-Jul-23 16:47:41

Yiayia I love Dalmatians. They are such soppy, daft dugs. Harper looks gorgeous. Brook tell that husband of yours to wield a duster! 😂 Your recipe sounds very tasty. Soop I hope your head is mending. I've had a busy day but in spurts so it didn't feel too bad. Roast gammon with an onion and mustard sauce tonight. Have a good evening Kitcheners
