Just that really. I hope all goes well and baby Brooksbank arrives safely.

Is she Fergie’s daughter? Good luck to her, whoever she is. They offer epidurals here in Australia routinely still.

Has she had it yet or is this fake news?

FannyCornforth Sun 04-Jun-23 09:32:20

She does seem to have been in labour for some time

Blondiescot Sun 04-Jun-23 10:10:33

Well, I did spent almost three days in labour with my son before eventually ending up with my second emergency c-section...

I can't find any reliable source for this information. Looks like fake news.

Why? She is pregnant, so she will have to give birth at some point!
Why would news sites make this up?

This one Calipso?

Phil Dampier is a renowned royal reporter who has worked for many news outlets

GrannyLaine Sun 04-Jun-23 10:59:37

Isn’t that a bit like saying it’s Christmas on December the 1st because it will be on the 25th?

margauxbordeaux Sun 04-Jun-23 11:27:35

All my very best wishes to Eugenie, her new baby and her husband and son August.

GrannyLaine Sun 04-Jun-23 11:33:36

Phillip Dampier’s report was 2 days ago. Now, she may possibly be in hospital for induction but that isn’t labour. If she had been “in labour” for 48 hours The Portland or wherever wouldn’t be doing a very good job. And before you all berate me with tales of being in labour for a week, I’m looking at this from a midwife’s perspective which distinguishes prelabour from actual labour.

I was definitely in 'proper' labour for the best part of three days - my notes confirmed this. I'd already had a previous c-section and the consultant said that I should only be allowed to labour for eight hours before they'd do another section. Unfortunately, he was away that week. My own midwife was horrified that they'd let it drag on so long and wanted me to make an official complaint to the hospital.

She looked as though she was about to give birth at any minute in a photo that was taken about a week ago so I bet she’s already had it and is back home laughing at the speculation.

Never ceases to amaze me that people who couldn't care less bother to comment at all. If you are completely disinterested in the subject of a post why even read it let alone comment unless of course it's just to be sneery?! I for one wish her and baby Mozzi good luck and good fortune.

Jaberwok Sun 04-Jun-23 12:17:49

Sorry,baby Brooksbank!!! Wrong husband!

Esmay Sun 04-Jun-23 12:19:40

Princess Eugenie has been in labour for three days according to the media .

I hope that she and the baby are OK .

I wish the same for any woman in labour .
My family are still debating on two unfortunate NHS deliveries - one has resulted in cerebral palsy in the baby and the other in permanent incontinence of urine and faeces not to mention a ruined sex life in the mother .

A decade on , I'm wondering if these problems would not have occurred in the babies had been born in a private hospital like the Portland .

In both cases , an emergency caesarian should have been done .

Grammaretto Sun 04-Jun-23 16:46:10

That's awfully sad Esmay
I was 3 days in labour with my first and knew no different. Eventually I was taken to the hospital from the wee nursing home, and was examined by an actual doctor. The Indian woman doctor made sure my baby was delivered asap.
Thanks to her he didn't have cerebral palsy though he was getting short of oxygen apparently.

Has she had it yet? I can only find news that she she was in labour 2 days ago?

That’s how rumours start!

Jaberwok Sun 04-Jun-23 17:58:20

Not if they're corrected in time, which this was.

I’m pretty certain that Sarah was joking

FannyCornforth Sun 04-Jun-23 18:26:07

I don’t think that she was suggesting that it was perfectly plausible that Eugenie was pregnant by the husband of her sister 🤦‍♀️

I was!

You know, I think I’ve had it with GN……flounces off angry

Allsorts Sun 04-Jun-23 19:09:19

Why are people interested in her being in labour or not? ? Make an announcement when the child is born for those that are.

FannyCornforth Sun 04-Jun-23 19:31:22

Good heavens, please don’t go Sarah!
Part of the charm of GN is people getting the wrong end of the stick!
We all do it, please stick around smile
