Oh my gosh at never conditioning. Washing hair no more than twice a week is the recommended amount.
I do this and condition each wash. I then use a hair mask treatment once a week.
My hair has been a variety of colours for years even before any grey had crept in. Right now I have long copper hair with a blonde piece through the front. My hair condition is excellent. That is because I look after it going to the hairdressers every 6- 7 weeks for regular trims and roots doing.
I use Joico colourful shampoo and conditioner which is what my hairdresser uses.
Joico is available online from websites such as Look Fantastic. It looks expensive. It actually isn't as you need far less product than shop shampoos, conditioners etc.
The professional ranges aren't full of chemicals the high street brands are.
Also focus on scrubbing your scalp when you shampoo it. Thr actual hair doesn't need loads of shampooing.
Conditioner leave in whilst showering, wrapped in a towel, focusing on the actual hair and combing through. Wash off thoroughly giving your hair a brief cool blast of cooler water to finish
Finally make sure you have regular trims at the hairdressers to keep it in good condition. Regular trims keeps on top of split ends, enhancing growth and condition.
