Good morning from a very wet Bristol.it has been raining gently for the last 3 hours at least; good, gentle, wetting rain, none of the flooding, dramatic storms that have been affecting other parts.
A quilt yesterday turned quite busy. I went to Tesco with my upstairs neighbour. We’re becoming quite friendly; we’re going to a concert together later in the week. Coffee, biggish shop. I bought two quite unnecessary hanging baskets - couldn’t resist them. They look pretty on my wall.
In the afternoon, I went up the road to a flooring company, where I chose laminate for the hall and living room, carpet for the bedrooms, and Lino for the bathroom. The laminate is discontinued so heavily reduced!
Then I met two of the inmates who are concerned about the supposed group TV licence for over 75s to be paid by the management. Some have been receiving threatening letters. I’m not involved but sympathise.
Finally, a church lady who has a different T’ai Chi class, came to give me the details!
Today, quiet again 🤣. Just the floor person measuring and estimating.
The kalu family, the Urms family, the Marydolls and others are much in my heart and prayers.

Good morning everyone. It’s warm and overcast today, yesterday we had a small shower and SiL was fretting about getting back in time to get his washing in, grin fortunately although it was damp it dried out before it got dark. Today DH and SiL are sorting out old books, with me reluctantly joining them. It’s such a shame to see old books go. We are hoping that some will be of use to the English section of the library here.

Good morning everyone from drizzly Lancashire. Hope you’re doing ok Mick and we hear from you soon.

We have had a lot of much needed rain since Sunday, sunny days are forecast again from Thursday onwards. No real plans for today, we’ll just take it as it comes.

Hope your appointments go well Marydoll. Thinking of Kalu, Gingster, Urms and all who are dealing with illness right now. 🌹

I rarely post on this lovely thread, but do read it most mornings. I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear that Kalu and Urmstongran are having such challenging times at the moment. My DH had a life-threatening illness when he was in his 40s (thankfully he survived and is fine) and I know how difficult it is to see your rock suddenly become vulnerable. My thoughts are with them both. thanksflowers
