Comfort bras

I have been reading an ad showing pictures of a bra supposed to be more comfortable for older ladies. It looks just the thing with wide straps, support etc. but I cannot sort out the sizing! It gives weight and says to send for one size larger but larger than what?!

I have been on gransnet for about 8 years and there have been threads about comfortable bras every so often throughout. I have read every post with hope in my heart to, at last, find a recommendation for a comfortable bra but, alas, it has never happened sad So I struggle on with pull on bras for every day which do nothing for my shape but make me feel decent and, usually, come off when I am home. For smarter times I have a white and a black M&S underwired bra which seems ok at first but by evening time I can't wait to take it off! I also have a couple of M&S bras with a sort of uni-cup ... they can be comfortable but sometimes can be very uncomfortable under my boobs. So they come off asap. Quite honestly if I could find a comfortable bra .... no matter the cost (within reason) .... I would buy myself two or three and be a very happy lady smile

I’ve just bought some with padding from eBay they are really comfortable no more wires digging into me

I've got several from a British company called Big Bloomers. They are not the cheapest but are so comfortable and they wash and last really well too. Their knickers are brilliant too - I wouldn't buy from anywhere else

BladeAnnie - the trouble is they only go up to an E cup...

Oh no. It says up to K on another page. Apologies!

Bras are a nightmare for me these days. I’m 44b and I’ve tried several comfort bras and haven’t found one that does the trick. Wriggling in and out of them is the problem for me. I have to go in head first, can’t imagine stepping in! shock

someone recommended Sloggi on GNet and I bought a couple. They are so comfortable but they don't seem to go much above XL..

They do loads don’t they. I can’t wear anything with lace on.I’ve got two that I bought at the same time thinking that they were identical. But when I washed them the padding on one of them was really weird and I’ve never worked out how to put it back in!

Sew the front of a bra into a close-fitting vest (or a favourite dress) with firm stitching at the shoulders and sides. Cut the back section away - and find a little comfort with room to breathe.

I just can't stand anything tight around my back, maybe due to autism? I've even considered sewing onto braces, which should work, I think. Even bras I can tolerate (for short periods of time) seem to have shoulder straps too short for me - so I'll replace them with ribbon, crossed over at the back.

Your breasts shouldn't really be supported by your shoulders so I'm not sure that cutting the back off can really be a good thing as it's the under-bust band that does the "supporting".

I’ve bought a couple of bras from here recently, they are so comfy:

Their high rise briefs are excellent too!

Maybe just what these old girls need!
