Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 12°C, with lots more rain forecast, I dread to think what the weeds are like,
I'm pleased to hear that you are making good progress and using online shopping. Try and slowly build up your stamina Mick.
I have my sensible hat back on again today, wobble over! 😉 I am afraid to jinx things, but I don't feel so unwell. 🙏 Your kindness yesterday meant so much to me, folks.
Yesterday was not without drama. I was absorbed checking my meds, (I like to double check, because there are so many), when I heard a crash behind me.
Part of the large cooker hood had come away from its fittings and was slowly descending towards the range. I let out a scream and called MrMD, who was upstairs, all to no avail! There was I trying to avert disaster and he was oblivious. Eventually, he called down, I will be down in a minute.. 🤬
Urgent tactics were required, so I started shouting, Help.
This was perhaps, not the best of ideas. He came hurtling down the stairs with a tube of superglue stuck to his fingers.
To elaborate, he was trying to fix another of my disasters,🤣
I am a walking liability. He is unaware that the hood was already shoogly, because a while ago, when cleaning it, I lost my balance and grabbed it, to prevent me falling. I shouldn't have been on a ladder in the first place.
Ages were spent setting up his birthday gift of a beer dispenser from the children, oh what a fuss! It had to be in a certain spot, have clearance on either side for air etc, etc. It's very painful biting your tongue for a prolonged period of time.😉
And don't mention the setting up of the Fitbit, DS2 no longer wanted. DH said he would do it himself, eventually, two hours later, I took over and sorted it in minutes. I haven't lost my touch, much to his annoyance.
My beloved is so like his father, to whom I was extremely close, it's his way or the highway. He cannot be told, 😁
I am saving the Brownie points earned to cancel out my next disaster.
I have very little plans for today, apart from taking in a linen jacket, which is just too baggy under the arms. I am that person, who was told by the nuns that, I was probably the worst sewer, they had ever seen. I am now an expert at unpicking stitches. Shame we didn't live nearer to each other, GM! 🤣
I hope the OOps feel better soon and best wishes to the many, keeping a watching brief, who feel it difficult to post.
DH put lit a stash of candles for the poorlies last night, one especially for the brave, but sad lady M who messaged me yesterday.
Have a good day folks. X
The End
