I loved the one with the dog when his owner was going to put his toy in the bin. Can't remember what it was for now.

May the gloss in Ross be a good gloss!

I like the one where the lonely underground station security man looking at his screens all night takes to cooking and self teaches himself to cook super stuff until one day he sees a "chef needed" notice in cafe.......

I know lots of people hate it, but the Haribo ones with the men speaking in little squeaky toddler voices always makes me smile!

My favourite was the Coca Cola advert, I'd like to teach the world to sing. Probably because I was a Seekers fan.

I love the Zoopla one with the woman admiring the house she is in and asking how much it was bought for. It fits with my RightMove habit.

Sodapop Harvey and rabbit 2012, the advert before showed Harvey cutting the grass in order to convince the family to adopt him. Can't remember what it was for, something to do with TV though.

on the strength of that i bought the toilet paper.
no idea what it was called, i just looked for picture of the koala on it.
now i just get a basic 2-ply.

My dear late Mum loved the Coca Cola Christmas Ad, Holiday’s are coming 🎶🎶🎶 for her it was the beginning of Christmas.

I like the Türkiye Tourist Board Ad, probably biased as I adore Türkiye.

About ten years ago we'd just returned home from a trip to Australia.
A very little DGD came round to visit, went to the loo, examined the toilet paper carefully and asked "Granny, did you bring this toilet paper home with you from Australia?". 🐨

I like the one for Cadbury chocolate where the young lady, working at the petrol station, says "love you dad". It always makes me smile

I remember a TV ad from the 1980's for HP sauce. There was a vicar putting some on his dinner plate. Then a woman said, "oh it's funny how the vicar likes a bit on the side". Meaning the side of his plate. But some people complained about it and I think it was banned.

Going back many years and yes, I know it’s sexist … but Nick Kamen taking his Levi 501s off to wash to a Marvin Gaye song.
Apparently sales shot up, but I was sorry to see Nick had died after a long illness.

The John Lewis one where it takes you through the various stages of a woman’s life, accompanied by the Billy Joel song ‘Always A Woman To Me’.

Makes me well up.

I agree on the Nick Kamen Levi’s one. The John Lewis Christmas ads are usually pretty good. Also, the one for Cadburys chocolate with the Phil Collins song & the Gorilla playing the drums and not forgetting the Guinness ads, especially the one with the horses in the sea.

I think my all time favourite is the old Rolos advert with the elephant getting his own back on the boy who, years earlier, wouldn't give him a Rolo, don't suppose they would show it now as the elephant smacks him across the face with his trunk

I don't really watch much live TV now, but I do remember fondly the Cadbury's Caramel Bunny one and the Knorr Stock Cubes 'Pea and ham, from a chicken? Now that's clever!'

Oh and of course, Yellow Pages with JR Hartley and the Smash aliens.

One of my favourites from the past I think was an advert for a real fire with coal. It showed a lovely glowing fire in a cosy room and one by one a dog, a cat then a mouse all come in and settle next to each other in front of the fire. Then they turn to each other and give a little kiss on the nose. Obviously using special effects but was so sweet to see.
