Mine was a lie. When I won my ticket to sit behind The Beatles at a recording of the show, the TV people wrote to ask me if I would do the dance thing. I was far too under confident and said no. I could have been backstage with The Beatles, Animals, Tom Jones and Peter and Gordon. Another missed opportunity.

It’s a lie I’m afraid but one which is better than the truth.

My parents were at a swanky dinner dance and my mother was furious with a woman she didn’t know for flirting with my father who appeared to be lapping it up. To grab the attention Mum managed to drop into the conversation that she’d been a Tiller Girl after the war (I might add that drink had been taken!😂) I think she hoped it would soon be forgotten but with every new RAF posting there was somebody who was at that party.

Goodness knows how she got away with it!

I’m afraid it’s true, a car had run over its back legs outside my gate. The poor thing was still alive with its whole back end flattened to the tarmac, the mattock was the only thing I had to hand to end its agony.
I did feel sick and had a few bad dreams afterwards as even without the head the body twitched for quite a while, horrible.

Am still trying to get over it AGAA4 😂

False about the Nessie costume, I hate cold water.

It was true. I was filmed because my school had got the highest marks ever for any primary school in Scotland, after an HMI inspection. #smugesteverteacher. 😉
