Not satire. Just sick.

Auntieflo Mon 24-Jul-23 22:12:26

Satire? I just thought it was promoting cannabilism.
Dreadful TV

Can’t watch anything he’s in his creeping grin goes through me

MerylStreep Mon 24-Jul-23 22:32:39

Dislike him intensely.

Sick programme.

The whole project has left me feeling ill. Even Gregg Wallace looked quite disturbed when he found out about the children! I was very surprised (disappointed) that Michel Roux Jr took part in this hideous programme. Very interesting when they said that if we were still in the EU there is no way this would be permitted. I have already been thinking of giving up beef and other red meat, but this has almost turned me vegetarian (or at least pescatarian.) I have not been so upset by a programme for a very long time.

I think a lot of people have complained to Ofcom including me, and I didn't even see the programme. But I know what it was about and saw clips. What a disgusting and depraved idea, Greg Wallace and the programme makers are sick in the head. Hopefully this will finish his career.

Georgesgran Tue 25-Jul-23 00:39:54

It was, of course a satire/spoof. We’d better be aware as more have been recorded.

Redhead56 Tue 25-Jul-23 00:46:44

It’s not about the personality Gregg Wallace so get over it he just fronted the programme along with other familiar faces. it’s about the programme subject and the utter disgusting content.

Human meat I did watch the programme and the whole concept of meat produced from human cells for consumption by humans is totally vile. It reminded me of a film in the 80s about futuristic society being fed on human flesh in other words cannibalism.

I don't know anything about this.

I take it there was a tv program headed by Gregg Wallace as described by Readhead56?

Wenmore Tue 25-Jul-23 02:28:24

Look at it from a cow's point of view ....

Granmarderby10 Tue 25-Jul-23 05:58:27

I didn’t see this and hadn’t heard anything about it because I cannot stand the sight and sound of this man on anything, and sincerely wish that individual television programmes could be barred from my tv such as is possible with phone numbers.

😄😄😄

But I would add that I haven’t a clue what anyone is talking about, and by the posts - very glad.

Well - I thought it was an interesting concept and really funny! Of course, as a vegan, what I do find totally disgusting and vile is the totally unnecessary torture and murder of innocent animals.

MerylStreep Tue 25-Jul-23 08:02:35

Television programs aren’t on your tv until you press the appropriate button to view them.

Hetty58 Tue 25-Jul-23 08:03:49

Redhead56, was that 'Logan's run'?

Blondiescot Tue 25-Jul-23 08:25:24

1970s film where humans were being bred for food.

Totally agree, he must be the most annoying man on TV. As for the content, he and the producers must be sick. You can point out food poverty without these sickening programmes. Well the Guardian says that is what it was about. So must be right, eh.

Georgesgran Tue 25-Jul-23 08:43:09

As I said upthread there’s a series of these Mockumentaries made, so watch out - there’s more to come.
The Guardian commented that it took a while for the penny to drop though.
