Oops our conservatory was covered in flying ants a few days ago but within half an hour they had all flown. They do provide a good food source for birds. Not keen on chemical sprays.

Great news that Mr Cornergran is recovering after his op.

Good morning Mick and all who have followed. Glad your day went well yesterday Mick - and you got your haircut! That in itself is a tonic - or it certainly is for us ladies!
Grandmattie the form of Tai chi you are doing is very different to the one I teach, which is slow and calm and more like an elegant (-ish!!) dance! It's all about balance and calm.
I have decided to post first and read later - although I noticed your photo as I scrolled down Nannyjan - so beautiful.
We were forecast another wet and misty day here on the Angus coast - yesterday was yucky to the nth degree - but it's quite bright so the washing machine is doing its thing 🤞
No plans for me except I must pop down into the town to visit the fish shop. I was sad yesterday to note that one fish shop has now closed and is only now running their shop at the pierhead in a fishing village up the coast. A lovely drive to be sure, but not so handy!
The other thing I must do is get my train ticket booked to Edinburgh to see Dancing GD at the Fringe. You used to be able just to pop into the station and buy your ticket but now 'advances in technology' mean this simple act has become so complicated - for this old behemoth anyway!
Have a wonderful cruise Blue - you've been looking forward to this for so long that it's magic that the day is here!
And so glad to note the Mr C's op has gone well Cornergran after so many postponements.

Georgesgran, I’m in awe of you travelling the Western By Pass. Wish I could do it. Newcastle is an almost two hour bus journey from me.

Your mention of haircuts prompted me to send dh out today for a tidy up.
Have had a quiet week with no child and dog minding. The house is so empty 😀.

Disturbed night, cat and cramps.
Little old car got through her MOT, yay. She’s also all clean and tidy as I wanted her to be presentable. I’ll soon put a stop to that..
Will photocopy music for concert next month today to keep and hand over originals to my pianist, who sometimes complains at the state of it. He’s had a detached retina and cataracts, so I hope he’s up to it.
Glad you are out and about Mick and that Corners op is out of the way.
