Happy birthday soop I hope the weather is better in your neck of the woods than in my part of London, cold and drizzly.

I hope Sweetie Pie pops by to share a birthday treat.

I have chosen (and paid for!!) my scooter.
I have gone for a pavement model which would , with some effort, go into the boot of a car but that wasn’t my main criteria.
I wanted comfort, stability and a means of getting round and about not too far from home.
I think I have made the right choice.
My friend hasn’t decided yet but is going back with her Daughter tomorrow.
Her D makes many of her decisions for her.
I am awaiting a call as to delivery and now can’t wait.
I hope soop is enjoying her day and that the rest of you enjoy the rest of yours.

Hellogirl1 Tue 08-Aug-23 17:52:28

Sorry to be so late Soop, but HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! xxx
Ann, happy scootering. I`d have one, but parted with the last one because the pavements around here are on the slant, I didn`t feel safe.

Great news about the scooter ann you’ll be whizzing about all over the place before you know it. Please post a pic when you can
I hope soop is enjoying the rest of her birthday and we hear all about it tomorrow
We’ve had DGS all day, he wanted to do another hike up a hill so that’s what we did. We enjoyed gorgeous views again and had a picnic at the top. We’ve dropped him back home now and DH and I are probably going to fall asleep in front of the tv later 🀣
I absolutely know what you mean foxy about treating the DGC equally- it’s hard isn’t it especially when some are much further away. I always feel guilty that we provide much more support to DD2 in Inverness than we do to DD1 in Cambridge but there’s not really an easy answer. We can only do our best though! Love the picture of β€˜man at work’ thanks for sharing!

Good evening Kitcheners. Boys are duly delivered back home. Play park this morning, then fed the ducks and had an ice cream. Dgs1 ran up and down the local Roman wall in the park. Dgs2 moaned and whined all day. It's a combination of toddler tantrums and teething. I did teach him to say 'light.' He was so proud of himself. I then bought new Duplo as the cheap stuff I had wasn't holding together. In the afternoon we played in the garden then walked to the swings then blethered to my next door neighbour again. It turned into a beautiful day. Brook that looks a lovely loch/spot for a picnic. Annsixty well done! I can imagine this will give you some freedom. Tonight I'm having a late dinner. I've cleared up the toys in the living room but I still have the kitchen to repair and a quick hoover is needed. Bang bang chicken with rice for dinner in a while. Have a good evening Kitcheners. I'm looking forward to a peaceful one.

Hi all, smashing picture brook and blue sky, it’s been grey, damp and chilly here all day, not conducive to doing much at all. I went out for a short walk to assuage my conscience, made some phone calls, advertised some unwanted bits online and ordered some new towels. Positively embarrassing thinking how old our existing towels are, they will be washed and go to a friend with dogs.
Dinner is on, chicken in bbq sauce, with veg.
Enjoy your evening.

I’m extremely late to wish you many happy returns of the day soop. Heartfelt best wishes from me, lovely lady. I think you have kind, twinkly eyes.
