Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton; I may put the last load of washing in from my cruise.

After early yoga yesterday was spent catching up on lots of little jobs that needed doing; house admin, the Avon order, reading etc. A.gentle day which I needed.

This afternoon will attempt to get out and join my health walk group; I need the fresh air, exercise and company! Hope I can remember which walk we are.doing this week; depending on the week of the month we use a.different start point; eg, if it's the third Tuesday, the start point will be Tick Rock cafe.

Must ring the surgery; I booked a fasting blood test yesterday, then re-read the text to find its for a non-fasting test!

May Tuesday be kind to us all.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Not sure what I will do today but I think a sit in the garden and a read this afternoon will suit very well.
We don't have tall ships here, we have Thames barges which look wonderful with their red sails.
DD took DGS5 to The Tate yesterday he was very unimpressed and reckoned he could do most of it himself! I think The Haywain might be more to his taste.
Best wishes to all

Good morning Mick and all from damp and cloudy Lancashire.

My replacement shredder from Rymans was delivered yesterday lunch time. MrB took the defunct one to the dump and I set up and tested the new one. All fine, so I can do a little more shredding later. I have often seen complaints about Yodel but yesterday was a very positive experience. They emailed me to say it would be delivered Monday, then texted me with an approximate time, then texted when they were 2 stops away. Very cheerful and polite driver too.

This afternoon I have a mammogram appointment and a visit to the bloody test clinic, both on the same site. Hopefully this will be my last medical appointment until Ophthalmologist in December. I still haven’t had the chance to try out my new pedometer which is all set up and ready to go.

The tall ships sound amazing Mizuna hope Cornwall stays sunny.

Lovely photos LadyLFL and lovely dress.

I’d love to see your play Ashcombe, it sounds like a lot of fun, good to see it’s going well after the hard work.

Glad you had a better day with the boys Grandmabatty.

What an epic journey Juliee, enjoy your visit with your daughter.

Those chimes look interesting Gingster, maybe I could play one with my working hand. I must see if there’s a group nearby.

Goodness Taichinan I feel tired reading about your day! I love the heat but it can be enervating.

Have a good day all.🌻

Good morning from coastal West Sussex. I will be heading to the easternmost end of the county today, visiting DD1 who has a day off. She had laryngitis yesterday so hope she can speak today. We will take GD (8) to the local Emmaus charity shop. It is a large one, with a cafe. Hope GD doesn’t find too many ‘treasures’ 😂

Good to hear of people out and about and enjoying the improving weather.

Thinking of Urms, Kalu, Baggs and all supporting loved ones with serious illness.

Mick, I hope the choice between a savoury snack and a cake is not too challenging! When in doubt I usually go for a scone but there is still the choice of cheese or fruit 🤔

Not so much a Good Morning as I have left it too late, but like Grandmattie and others upthread I have had occasion to wonder at the wisdom of raising strong women!
After DH died D1 kept sending me tempting Rightmove links to charming Victorian cottages just a 15 minute walk through the park to their house. I had to dig my heels in but it was hard. Never mind that being 15 minutes from one family meant that I would now be 3 hours from the other 2 little families, or that I have my own friends, contacts and life, here where I am “me” not somebody’s Mum!
Attempts to organise me are kindly intentioned but also gently resisted!

Good afternoon Mick, Annie and all. We went out just after 10, and as I am not an early bird, missed posting until now.
The door refresh went well and it looks good. I did think that although we had left the door open all day, until evening, that it might stick and we would be 'glued' in. But we weren't, thank goodness.
During the evening I had enough energy to make a big fruit cake, so today, we had a piece for lunch, with a cup of tea.
It is so nice to have a bit of energy, long may it last.
I bought a new top this morning, but will probably take it back, as it's a bit clingy. Also found a pretty blue cotton skirt in my favourite charity shop. That I will keep. As we have huge amounts of lavender, I cut some when we got home and am using it around the house. Hopefully it will deter the carpet moth blighters. It does smell gorgeous.
Got to go and put some washing on the line while it's sunny.
Ginster, glad I was of help with the tin 🤗. I was surprised at how little, goes a long way.
Sending lots of healing thoughts to all our poorly friends.
Have a good day one and all.
