Good Morning Everyone,
Dark here but dry in brackley .
Plans for the day , is laundry day for me plus other chores .
Health wise , I think the heatwave played its part as to the continued diarrhea,as it would like to get my system back to normal although have been told it could go on for months .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s a bit better day than yesterday weather wise and at least dry. It is getting a tad chilly though in the mornings.

I have lots of jobs to catch up on in the house - laundry, sorting of drawers etc and I also need to go and collect some railway tickets.

Such tragic news Marydoll there are no words 💐

Grammaretto Wed 13-Sep-23 07:47:06

Such sad news Marydoll.
Thinking of them and you in your grief.

Greyduster Wed 13-Sep-23 07:48:14

Mary I’m sorry I didn’t read your post before I wrote mine or I wouldn’t have been so insensitive. I’m so sorry for your friend and her family.

NanKate Wed 13-Sep-23 07:48:39

Marydoll how very sad 🕊️

aggie Wed 13-Sep-23 07:50:37

Marydoll that is beyond sad 💐

Marydoll Wed 13-Sep-23 07:55:07

Sorry I didn't mean to spoil the thread. I got such a shock, when I looked at my phone. My friend is the one whose wife is terminally ill, which makes the news even worse.

Please post your doings today, there is nothing wrong with posting your happy news. I would hate to have spoiled this thread.
It's all part of the circle of life and we all have times in our life like.
For those who have faith, please keep this family in your prayers.

Good morning on a beautiful and sunny September morning.
Marydoll that is such sad news , I am so very sorry.
But Greyduster don’t feel bad about rejoicing that your nephew’s baby has reached his first birthday against tough odds. As parents and grandparents we all have enough space in our hearts to feel for both families.
Don’t really have much to say about my humdrum life when I think about those who are grieving, so I will just wish you a pleasant and peaceful day

cornergran Wed 13-Sep-23 08:00:00

So sad marydoll. Thinking of everyone touched by this tragic event.

Marydoll Wed 13-Sep-23 08:00:50

Please, please, no-one is being insensitive, I wouldn't think that of any of you. You are a lovely bunch. 💐
I posted without thinking.

I am going to Mass to see my friend.( I haven't been seen for over a week!) and pray for them.
Fortunately my injection delivery isn't due until the afternoon, so I will be back in time.
Whatever, your plans, enjoy. Carpe diem!

Good morning from a bright sunny Suffolk.

I’m so sorry,Marydoll to hear of the very sad news about your friend’s baby grandson. My thoughts are with the family and their friends as they try to come to terms with their tragic loss.

A full day’s Teams meeting for me,one positive is that there will be no time to tackle the ironing and no need to think about watering the pots after the torrential rain yesterday afternoon and evening.

Hoping those with worries and illness find some comfort today.

grandMattie Wed 13-Sep-23 08:07:40

Oh, Marydoll, what tragic news. Such a short little life. My heart, prayers and condolences go out to the family. ❤️❤️

Alygran Wed 13-Sep-23 08:12:26

Good morning from North Yorkshire. The sun is shining.
Marydoll what sad news. My thoughts and prayers to you all.
Off to make coffee at the parent carer group this morning then perhaps a walk and some gardening.
Hope you all have a good day.

Lunch in Glasgow today with DGD1 who has returned to university, summer, definitely over.

I am so very sorry to hear of your friend’s family’s tragic loss Marydoll, I will be remembering them.

Sending good wishes to everyone.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, 13° out at the moment and a high of 18° forecast, so much cooler than last week.

The rain held off for our group walk yesterday luckily, and only came on once I had.got home, after calling at the shops on the way back. Read another.big chunk of my massive tome; should finish it by the weekend. Then I have a book to read for book club in two weeks time, but luckily it's a very short one, fewer than 100 pages.

A gentle morning of pottering, and a casserole of chicken paprika to get into the slow cooker for tonight's dinner. After lunch, probably out to the well-being cafe, with my knitting. Will try to resist the cake, as I need to lose a few pounds! (I have removed most goodies from my Sainsbury's order....).

Wishing a peaceful day to all.

Good morning from a bright and almost sunny Essex coast.
So sad Marydoll, condolences to the family.
DH is dropping me in town then going to get the car cleaned. I am going to DD2 tomorrow to look after my granddaughters for a couple of days and need to pick them up from school in the car.
Have a pleasant day everyone xx

Mizuna Wed 13-Sep-23 08:23:21

So sad for the family Marydoll.

GrannySomerset Wed 13-Sep-23 08:24:16

A lovely morning and a good forecast so must peg out the bedding which was washed overnight. Sad news from Marydoll is a reminder of how hard life can be for some. Singing this afternoon is always a spirit lifter so a positive day. Hope the same is true for others.

BlueSapphire Wed 13-Sep-23 08:32:59

Such terribly sad news, Marydoll. There are no words.

Kalu Wed 13-Sep-23 08:35:15

Good morning all from a sunny, 8deg, in Glasgow. Our heating has come on.

Oh, what tragic news Marydoll. So much sorrow for one family to bare. My heart goes out to them

Have the best day you can all.

Urmstongran Wed 13-Sep-23 08:56:31

Good morning everyone from a sunny south Manchester.
Here’s Matt.

Taichinan Wed 13-Sep-23 08:59:47

Good morning all - and a glorious one it is on the Angus coast.
Marydoll what tragic news for that poor family. I'm so sorry. flowers. It makes you wonder, doesn't it, how some people sail through life while others have everything, including the kitchen sink, thrown at them time after time .......
Yesterday's tai chi class went well and then everyone went home with a large bag of plums off my wonderful gnarled old plum tree. I've never known a harvest like this one. I shall pick another lot for tomorrow's class and there may well be plenty to take to our workshop on Saturday as well.
Last night was the first good night's sleep I have had in weeks, in spite of having dozed all yesterday afternoon. Something to do with the cooler nights, and so welcome. Maybe today I'll have more energy! I shan't be doing much more than pottering (and picking plums 😉) but at least I shouldn't be so tired.
Glad all is well with Olddudders Ash - but an annoyingly wasted journey for him.
Enjoy The Kelpies Susan - they really are worth that long drive. (And don't forget to wave to Grandmabatty 😉)
Foxy, beautifully put - you have a lovely way with words and sentiment.
Now off I go to potter, wishing all who are struggling an easier day x

GrannyGravy13 Wed 13-Sep-23 09:10:10

Back again

Good morning all, sorry you are still struggling Mick

Today is our wedding anniversary (we got married on Friday 13th 🙀). DH has pulled a muscle in his back so I doubt we shall be celebrating later.

The cleaning fairies are here this morning, I am off to the gym in an hour.

Enjoy your day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Beechnut Wed 13-Sep-23 09:19:55

Very sad and upsetting news Marydoll.

Gingster Wed 13-Sep-23 09:21:05

Good morning.
Sad news Marydoll 🙏.

Today my dgd1 is coming to stay over. It will be so lovely to have her here, now she’s finished her degree and can relax for a while.
We are taking her to the Roslin tomorrow for afternoon tea to celebrate.
A bit of shopping for her favourite things and get her room ready. I’ve still got her duvet set from when she was tiny and I’m going to put it on her bed. She’ll be so happy!

Take care and sending you all good wishes 🌻
