Good Morning Everyone,
Dark but dry with a forecast of another hot spell for this part of UK at brackley.
Today , my aim is bus to Bicester , duration could be one to two hours depending on how I feel.
Then watch TV of course with some cycling on .
Take Care,
Mick

Asbestos was fictional as I had thought, Taichi….

Good morning from the greyish south coast. The sun is trying to break through - the duvet cover and pillowcases are hanging out so I hope it will.

We have been back in the south for a week now. Busy week catching up on the allotment and the garden. Something ate our sweetcorn 🙁.
It was our 50th wedding anniversary towards the end of September and we had the southern leg of our celebrations with a lunch for a few friends and family, having had a similar event in East Lothian. It was a perfect day weatherwise, both times. We felt very blessed to be able to share this occasion with a few who took part in the original event plus children, grandchildren and more recent friends. But, inevitably, there were also memories of those no longer with us.

Glad to hear Grandmattie’s bathroom renovation will happen at last.

Happy birthday to Primrose 🎂

Sorry to hear of so much ill health. I have read every post and am thinking of each of you but won’t name here for fear of missing someone.

I’m glad the rain is easing in Scotland. My DD said it wasn’t too bad with them but some of the photos and videos from further west and north are very dramatic.

Now that the partying is over I am on a mission to sort and declutter at home. The spare bedroom is unusable atm and DD3 has suggested she and DGDs might come and stay for a couple of days at half-term 😱

Ladyleftfieldlover. Hope you feel better soon. Hopefully a few days snuggled under the duvet will see you back to health

Grandmabatty Mon 09-Oct-23 11:16:51

Ladyleftfieldlover that's bad luck. Lots of fluids and resting. Take care

Good morning all - not as much of a lie-abed as it might seem, I’ve been up for hours (well, one or twogrin ) but forgot to put my iPad on to charge overnight .
So sorry to hear so many of you are poorly. I just hope the reaction to the covid jab is a measure of it efficacy. I was sleeping for Britain for all of the following two days.
My Art History class has been put on Zoom today as the tutor has this appalling cold so many seem to be suffering from and as we are all “of an age” she considerately did not want to spread her germs/virus around.
Rosie will be happy to have me at home and my sheets and duvet cover are in the machine as we may not have this lovely weather for many more days.
Next door’s builder is back after his 2 week break and hammering away happily. No Radio 1 though, so I can be thankful for small mercies.
So nothing exciting to report from N Bucks where it is slightly overcast but will no doubt clear like yesterday and my solar panels can do their thing 😎😎
Wishing you respite from your ills and worries- and as nice a day as today permits flowers

Incredible!

They are, to put it mildly, a piece of work!

Taichinan Mon 09-Oct-23 11:51:14

That's very mild, Maw - to frighten people and try to fool them from a position of 'power' seems bordering on the criminal to me and at the very least is immoral. Dreadful!

A rather late Good Morning from a sunny. N. Bucks.
I am recovering well from my hip op’. Worse thing is that I bruise easily and am black /blue from waist to thigh and buttock on that side. But, the awful grinding pain has gone and I am already going outside for short walks , increasing each day. Thanks for all the good wishes. DD3 popped in earlier with 2 year old DGS who kept gently patting my leg and saying” All better now, Nanas happy”
Sorry to hear of so many being poorly and all the bad reactions to jabs. Not had this years yet but probably next week.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire where it is currently 17°C.

I’m slowly recovering from the post vaccine collywobbles, won’t be doing much today other than reading.

I will go back and read the thread now, I have been shocked and saddened by the news from Gaza and it’s good to return to this happy place for a while.

Wishing you all a happy Monday ❤️

Good morning all, have been on "Good morning, lovely day" terms with a fellow doggie lady for a few years now and she invited me for coffee, just got back. She's had a totally different upbringing and lifestyle to me ( very go-getting and adventurous). Couldn't be more different really but I'm thrilled to have found a 'kindred spirit'! Dogs are still working on it....

Taichinan Mon 09-Oct-23 12:33:11

Lovely to know that all's going well post-op Ginny and that "Nana's happy now". Wee cutie!
