Dickens I understand what you are saying but we have women in our WI who have experienced abusive relationships and the WI is/was a safe haven for them. I am sure many transwomen are not a threat, but it is the rogue ones that scare me. Also a transwomen can change their bodies but they will still have a male brain.

The most worrying part imo is that the WI accepts transwomen who have not fully transitioned, so they can present as a women with male genitalia!

It’s the aggressive threatening haranguing transwomen who cause the trouble, try to take over women’s sport, beauty contests and my WI ! They should have their own clubs especially for transwomen and not allow natal women to join. It’s only fair.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a TW joining the WI - if the reason for doing so was simply because they were interested in the WI, it's activities etc. If they simply wanted to fit in and join in those activities and not radicalise it to suit their agenda - why not?

I once joined a group of enthusiasts - all male - who were into restoring old steam engines because at that time, I was a steam engine enthusiast. I was given a pair of overalls and just had to fit in, scraping, wire-brushing and (if I was lucky) painting. I would've been miffed if they'd refused my entry to their hallowed circle - in fact, I was invited to join because they needed more 'enthusiasts' willing to give up hours of their spare time. I learned a lot - but I never believed it made me 'one of the lads' - I was just part of a team with one sole purpose, restoration.

I can only respond to what I read, I'm afraid . If you type something the opposite of what you mean (and I understand that it happens) I can't be expected to know, can I? I didn't go on the attack, so much as on the defence - as you say, you admit to being goady, so - you know. . .

I am not looking to goad anyone - I don't understand the accusations on these threads, as it is very rarely that anyone is anything but supportive of transpeople. Out comments are misread and misrepresented so that it appears as though there is one faction arguing for tolerance and inclusivity and another for prejudice and exclusion. That is really not the case.

No one is reducing GD to anything.

We are not discussing individuals who have genuine distress over the mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identity or who were born with an indeterminate sex.

We are talking about the disruptors, the "Isla Brysons" the men who after conviction of a criminal offence committed as a man, decide they are women... those aggressive men who want to "decapitate TERFS", rape them with their "girl-dicks" - insert themselves into women's intimate spaces - and verbally and physically attack women who speak out against this.

No-one is talking about "conversion therapy" - no one is lacking empathy - we have told you time and time again that the trans community, be they TW or TM or anything in between, should be allowed to live their lives in peace, should be afforded the same dignity as anyone else and the same rights and protections.

The violence, the insults, are coming from TW who insist that we accept their male bodies as female. And we - as is our right - do not accept this concept and that is what we are debating.

You are stirring the pot VS, attempting to present us as GC activists. We are nothing of the kind. We are using our right to free speech to question the validity of assuming that young people who may be suffering any manner of anxieties caused by any number of factors are undecided about their gender identity. We are questioning why those years between childhood and adulthood are producing so many who are convinced they are 'in the wrong body'... because no-one is stopping to say, "hang on a minute - maybe this child is riddled with anxiety because he/she comes from an unstable background; has been neglected by his/her parents; is being bullied at school; cannot meet his/her parents' expectations academically; is suffering from sibling rivalry; is maybe made to feel like the 'unwanted child' from a late and accidental pregnancy; has parents who are addicted to drugs/alcohol; is suffering a home life where the parents are also suffering poverty; has a parent who's walked out on the marital home; has a parent who is disabled, etc, etc, etc".

We are trying to say that there are a myriad reasons why kids as they enter adulthood from childhood can suffer from depression and anxiety - and maybe at that tender age when they have no idea of what the adult world really is... we should examine other possibilities before recommending puberty blockers, chest binders, and all the other remedies for those with 'gender identity' problems. Because maybe they're not suffering from it? Maybe they're just trying to work out their place in this wholly mad world that we've created for them to inhabit, with all its insecurities, austerity, divisions, political wrangling. Not to mention the malign influence of social media, Tik-Tok, etc... children as young as seven are using adult social media sites, this in itself is cause for alarm.

There's no darker place than that to inhabit is there.

Gender dysphoria affects a tiny number of children*. Most people, therefore, who 'transition' do not suffer from it, and the majority of transwomen do not 'transition' anyway, but retain male bodies. I'm not sure whether or not that applies to transmen.

The 'dark place' some of us occupy according to you, VS (and that is a nasty remark) is dark not because of the existence of transpeople, as we have said over and over, but because of the way some men use the cover of trans as a means to enter women's spaces, to prevent us from meeting in female groups and to remove opportunities for women to have prizes or competitions of our own, such as Woman Of The Year. It is also dark because of the way that children are told that unless they obey stereotypes they are 'in the wrong body', and because gay people are told they should 'reframe' their sexuality so that it becomes 'same gender attraction', and lesbians should have sex with transwomen.

Impossible to name anyone here on GN who has no compassion for the trans community Galaxy because quite simply there aren't any.

The better way is what the vast majority of the contributors to this and all the threads dealing with the trans issue are seeking, but as long as the minority of the trans community and those who support them continue to disregard the hard fought for rights of women, they will never seek and/or be satisfied with a better way.

No of course not. She will ignore any others’ compassion for the trans people who, along with females are suffering because of the activities of the cheating, lying trans.
