This is Attitude magazine's LGBTQ+ awards.

Absolutely sickened by this. Dylan was born male in 1996. The New York Times reports she transitioned to female beginning March 2021 and has reportedly earned more than a million dollars from endorsements including fashion and cosmetics. She has 10 million followers on top tok. She grew up in a wealthy privileged family.

Her lived experience is nothing like that of other 26 year old women. S.he may well have faced emotional struggles due to her gender confusion. She didn’t grow up as a girl, she didn’t go through puberty or negotiate her way through school , into employment. Im insulted that she is given any woman of the year award. I’d have no problem with her being trans woman of the year but leave awards for AFH

I have actually got to the point of laughing about this stuff.
Only it isnt funny.

It’s not a “she” for goodness sake. Doesn’t want to be known as male, so can’t say “he”, but in no way can the person be referred to as a “she”. We really must stop pussyfooting around.

I will reiterate. This person is not a she. Biologically, not female and never will be.

I dont think Dylan is happy at all. I don't know how anyone can say that if they have watched Dylan.

It's just a farce.

But a very worrying one.

As a straight male, may I just say that awards like this may have the effect of tipping this whole debate deeper into the farce which it has become?

Virulent (I use the word advisedly) trans men are an embarrassment not only to calm and rational trans men, but to the army of men who fully understand and support the need for safe spaces for women. We have daughters, nieces, wives, fiancées, girl friends, mistresses even, and we want them to be safe.

Apart from the concept, the very terminology is dated.

And, if you have "wives, fiancées, girl friends", it's hardly supportive of women to have a mistress also. It's simply being unfaithful - cheating in other words.

Well in MN it's most certainly 'the other woman'. Or phrases that arent as pleasant.
