You have £100 and must spend it on yourself, what would you buy?

I already get my hair done every 6 weeks, I have plenty of clothes and jewellery, and enough electronic equipment.

Whatever would I spend it on?

In the good old days I would probably buy a Record Album or 2, film for my camera, a couple of good books a new pair of shoes…….

Over to you, you can’t put it towards household expenses or food.

There ia an art book for £90 odd I have my eye on.

I’d buy perfume. For years I wore Vivienne Westwood’s Boudoir but can’t get it any more. I would try new perfumes and then buy something lovely.

Books or toward a new leather jacket

….oh, or this lovely pair of knee length boots I saw @ £160 …out of my normal price range!!

It has to be books! 😁 I have loved books ever since I learnt to read as a child.

I’ve had this lovely ‘dilemma’ recently. I was sent a very generous gift voucher for an expensive beauty spa salon place, somewhere I would never normally go. I decided to go for something I’d never treat myself to, and had laser treatment on some facial thread veins. I can get a massage easily, but I thought a lasting benefit would be a good way of using this gift. I’m delighted with it.

I would buy a really nice warm jumper.

PS, I’d never fork out for this treatment myself, whereas I often pay for a massage for medical reasons.

I would be trying to find some winter boots that are comfortable and suit me.

A posh jigsaw
Books
A tour of the Emma Bridgewater Factory
Renew my English Heritage Sub
A silver photo frame
Some rescue hens
A flight in a hot air balloon

I'd buy a craft or sewing course. I love learning new things.

A pamper day for me. I need some relaxation.

Treetops05 Sat 04-Nov-23 11:53:58

Books, or a visit to my son or my sister...sister would be a push due to location...

Juliet27 Sat 04-Nov-23 11:56:58

It would go towards a replacement dishwasher as mine has just died. I don’t like going back to washing up.

Jannipans Sat 04-Nov-23 12:03:39

I'd love a manicure and pedicure (my poor feet don't get the care they deserve!)

JdotJ Sat 04-Nov-23 12:08:47

Godiva chocolate, which I absolutely love but is horrendously expensive.

With coco12, some nice boots - waterproof for dog walking

I've been on a pamper day at a spa and hated it, felt like being in hospital and at least the latter are tryind to get you out of the door asap

This happened to me last year and I bought a new garden bench (added a little more to it)

My husband is from St. Saviours Guernsey, we get a good deal when we go over to family, kit the kids out and the gran kids.

nipsmum Sat 04-Nov-23 12:14:41

Oh £100 would pay for a cleaner for a couple of weeks. I would be very happy to do that.

Larsonsmum Sat 04-Nov-23 12:18:38

Cookery Books

DC64 Sat 04-Nov-23 12:20:02

An AirB&B night just for me by the sea and a long walk - no wifi no phone - just a good book and plenty of chocolate … peace and relaxation … recharge my battery.

Mallin Sat 04-Nov-23 12:24:00

I’d put it down as deposit on a balloon day in the sky. For next summer

GrannyRose15's idea of buying flowers regularly sounds great to me, or perhaps a few houseplants that would last for longer.

I might put it towards one of those small bounce trampolines that I’ve been considering getting. Useful for exercising on days when it’s not fine enough to get out.
