I might put it towards one of those small bounce trampolines that I’ve been considering getting. Useful for exercising on days when it’s not fine enough to get out.
Easy... more beads and more findings and string for my volunteer work (Beads for Babies on Facebook). Like I don't already have enough for several lifetimes.
Personal swimming lessons and a really well cut costume so I didn’t feel like a whale. I’d love to swim well, can float otherwise just flounder around.
hmmm that would be difficult....need a new winter jacket, need new winter boots, a jumper or 2, one of those oodie things would do, own brand is acceptable, not had my hair cut for about 18 months, my socks have seen better days, as has my underwear. So for those of you who don't need the £100 please feel free and send it my way, I could spend it 3 or 4 times over.
it probably wouldn't stretch to both, but 1. Someone to cut the grass, prune some trees and clear up the garden which has flourished too much - - thanks to all this rain
You said no food… yet that was the first thing I thought of.
A small gathering of 2 or 3 of your best friends (no family) over a Holiday tea or luncheon that you hostess at a very nice restaurant or hotel, decked out for Christmas.
To me, sharing the spirit of the season over good food/drink with friends is the ultimate. (Even if you have to throw in a few extra £’s to make it happen.)
Or - think of “acquaintances” that may be less fortunate than you, extending your goodwill and cheer. You would probably make their day and season. What a good feeling! Cheers! USA Gundy
I’d put it towards a new winter coat, which seem to be way over £100 at the moment! I’ve managed the last few years by layering my clothes to keep warm, but I’ve nothing to put on the top layer now, as my trusty wet-weather coats and jackets have fallen to pieces.
I am in exactly this position. I was given £100 as a Christmas present last year with instructions to spend it on myself. The cash is still in my sock drawer!
Boots for me or maybe some good quality trousers. If you have a pamper day do you not have to have somewhere to go with your new facial? I know nothing about this kind of thing as you can guess.
You shouldn't have make-up applied or go anywhere special after a facial. The massage stimulates the skin. The creams get absorbed and then all the impurities come out afterwards. So your make-up would end up looking greasy and why would you want to clog up your pores with make-up after having them cleansed.
I would buy myself a proper gym bag (instead of my Sainsbury's plastic carrier)....and a pair of those wet shoes for in the pool (cause they've got some spiky tiles)....as I have just joined a gym for the first time ever at the tender age of 68. Yes, I've become a gym bunny. The rest I would put towards "something shocking in Lycra". I'm loving this close fitting gym wear and wish I could afford it, especially as I started off by cutting all my leggings off at the knee and wearing baggy tee shirts to hide the slouch pouch. I'm starting to look a bit smart in the gym as the weight falls off and the muscles are arriving! Don't be fooled......I only do the easy stuff.
