Good morning from Eden, a quiet night but if EkwaNimitee has got it we will soon just 25 miles south.
Relis travelling or hoping to travel from Aberdeen today for an overnight stop before travelling further south, I'm hoping they keep me updated.
The incident with the jar made me laugh, DH once did similar when he was a student boyfriend visiting me in Durham. He came to the dining room picked up a bottle of tomato Ketchup gave it a really good shake from side to side and covered everyone on the surrounding tables.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 9°C.

Yesterday we had a lovely time drIving along the estuary, the salt marshes are home to an amazing variety of over wintering birds. We ended up at RSPB Marshside, where we were pleased to see a good number of geese, ducks and waders. We were lucky enough to see a couple of starling murmurations too. Not much walking as I was mostly holding onto things, it was so windy. It was delicious to feel the cold fresh air on my skin after so much time indoors.

Not much planned for today, we’ll see how it goes. The sky is turning black at the moment but yesterday’s strong winds seem to have abated. I need to remember to send a birthday card to a sister in law. Hope to have a short walk, weather permitting.

That is something I have done Ashcombe, good job we can laugh.

I hope you can get out Marydoll and feel a little better after yesterday’s disappointment. Broken bones and dizzy head notwithstanding I am actually feeling quite good and positive now that the heartburn and acid reflux seem to be under control, thanks to the simple exercise sent to me by another Gran.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. I’m very pleased with all the little jobs DS did yesterday, front door was sticking, new shower head , replaced bulbs here and there, mended specs etc. He’s very handy.

I’m into town to have my roots done and have a trim against my trip abroad next week with DD. Hate going to the hairdresser, don’t find it relaxing at all.

Good morning. Still at DD’s on the edge of Brighton. Last night’s wind has died down but there was torrential rain at school time (of course). The river in the gutter going, was over the whole pavement on the way back. My boots are leaking 🙁. The 8 year old is at home with a ‘sore tummy’. I think the stresses of the week have got to her. DD is marginally better but not enough to do anything! DD1 lives a mile further east. She is working from home, having cancelled planned interviewing. Her younger one’s college has closed for the day. Hope the forecast storm, part 2, is not as bad as forecast.

I am craving coffee but don’t know how to use DD’s (newish) coffee machine. I had mastered the previous one after much practice.

Good morning all from Glasgow. It’s damp outside but no repeat of yesterday’s torrential rain.

Not a great start to the day yesterday when I noticed a damp patch had appeared next to an upstairs hall window. I phoned a recommended roofer who came out quickly as he was working in our area. Work starts on Monday, not a cheap fix, just hoping he solves the problem without any unpleasant surprises to give me more stress to deal with.

It’s an at home day today with a few bits and pieces to keep me busy.

Yes a lovely lunch with GrannyGravy and Sar. The time flew by and the chat was easy. Thank you both for the drink and coffee. I don’t think I said it at the time. My manners !!!!.

I went to bowls club earlier as the weather wasn’t too bad. The butcher told me it will get worse as the afternoon goes on.
My neighbour in Suffolk messaged me and said it’s pretty dire up there. I do hope there’s no damage. We lost a summerhouse a few years ago when we had gales, 🙏.
Poor people in Jersey are losing their homes!

We have a sauce bottle tale too. We took dgd1 (about 10 years old) to a cafe for breakfast .Grandad shook the sauce bottle and the entire contents went all over the window. Gd often recalls the embarrassment she felt. 😂🤣.
