Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 9°C and raining lightly. Enjoy your trip out Mick.

Got through quite a few chores yesterday by taking my time and frequent rests. I was tired by bedtime and slept well. Today’s first task is to put away some of yesterday’s laundry. MrB has gone shopping, he is collecting his new glasses today.

No Christmas delivery slots required here, we will have an order to collect from the farm shop. We need to get organised though!

Glad your DH is improving Ashcombe.

Hope the bathroom work goes well Grandmattie.

Not what you needed at all Marydoll! EDF are pestering me to have a smart meter, I have many unanswered questions. I will add reconditioned meters to the list.

Enjoy your holiday Hollysteers, a welcome relief from an English winter.

I expect you’re glad that’s over Grammaretto. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

How lovely to read your happy post Urmstongran, enjoy the rest of your break x

Sending love and healing thoughts to Baubles, Kalu and Baggs this morning. Hope those of us with troubles have a better day🌹

Good morning all from a brighter Algarve. The washing that was almost dry on the line got soaked while we were out yesterday. The forecast is better for today.

Granmattie, you will have to pretend that you’re Portuguese while watching the plumber working smile. When we first came out here we found it amazing that as many people as possible watched their tradesmen or gardeners working. The British way always used to be not to look over their shoulders as they worked.

Our trip to the hospital yesterday was a bit of an anticlimax. Apparently we could have telephoned to be told that they have decided that DH should have surgery. However he has to wait for another phone call to tell us when to go back to the hospital for a meeting that hopefully will explain what exactly will happen and when.

Good morning everybody, it’s a sunny day here again but a frost earlier.

I’m going to take a break from GN for a bit, so many family health problems at the moment that my posts will likely be down and gloomy. Coupled with my dear BIL who is having palliative care and is so unwell, I really can’t see my way through it at the moment.

So take care everyone, I hope all poorlies soon feel better, good luck with your bathroom GM

Well still be thinking of you Oops - and wishing you and your family well, please don't stay away too long and as for sounding "down" that's what GN is here for.
Remember we are here for you whenever you need a shoulder or to let it all out.
Take care 💐 💐 💐

Good morning all from N Bucks where it is again sunny with a clear blue sky. The towels are out so who knows, they may be dry by the end of today, if not a quick tumble is allowed.
Nothing exciting planned, dental check up , no doubt telling off from dentist who will say I am not flossing, then I think M&S where I hope some wine-coloured velvet trousers I have ordered will have arrived. I hope they will go with this, but as Paw used to say, I have no visual imagination so my 💡 idea may turn out to be rubbish.
What a dreadful time some of you are having.
Marydoll , gas and water totally scare me and if things were otherwise I would probably not have gas in the house having had three alarming leaks in the past - now I come to think of it, same plumber. You’d think I’d learn.
With thoughts and prayers for those who are poorly or who have family worries I hope today will be kind to us all.

I think anything would match that cardigan it's like Joseph's coat of many colours.

Good morning from Durham - fine and bright here.
I’ve no plans today, but housework and bed changing definitely beckons - I’m not a fan, but needs must. I might reward myself with cake later, but (for me) it’s nice to have a nothing day now and again.
I echo RM Oops - sometimes life just gets too heavy. Hopefully other GNs are improving and fingers crossed various Tradespeople do their jobs problem free.
Best wishes to all. X

Late good morning just wanted to let people who messaged 're pain in hip . The good news is it's not mets which was my sorry ,it's bursitis in the trochanter area so Dr has booked injection into that area under ultra sound guidance ,he has warned me it might take a few before it settles. Have a good day all.

A perfect day in Eden, the Autumn colours are glorious with the sunshine.
DH has taken to the fells to wander.
Housework calls for me before another set of visitors.
I hope everyone's building work goes smoothly and those who are not well or feeling down have sunshine like this it would lift anyone's spirits.
