Good Morning Everyone,
A dark, dry and what seems to be less windy start here in brackley this morning.
Today I will do Bicester on the bus and plan to return via Buckingham using the X5 service and have a lunch in a cafe there .
Otherwise return home later ,and relax.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. I haven’t looked out but we have been promised a wet day. I shan’t go to my outdoor Taichi class.
The bathroom is progressing well, my lovely plumber is working very long hours, not leaving until nearly 6 yesterday. He is finishing the boxing of pipes today, having put in a bombproof base for the shower tray. Painter postponed to tomorrow.
I went to the supermarket with my neighbour and her friend. They are much slower than me, So, to their amusement, I take my book with me to while away the wait.
More of the same today.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, thunderstorms today and a yellow warning in south somerset

I had a good bus ride to my appointment yesterday, such a nice chat too, with a lovely lady who chose to sit next to me. I did nothing else yesterday, no crafting, went to bed early. Sometimes my body does get zonked, I listen to it and give it complete rest, then I am back to normal the next day

Now I am prepping some fabric by pre-washing and gentle tumble dry. Later this morning I will need to go to the garage to get advice on my abs sensor cascade. I think it will mean a new sensor but so be it, car maintenance is part of the cost of running a car

Nothing else planned but something will evolve

Have a good day

Good morning from a breezy Torbay.

In haste as olddudders needs a lift to Newton Abbot station for an early train to travel home to La Sarthe. He'll be back in a month to see Crawford at Christmas for which I’ll be singing carols. Yesterday, I went for a costume fitting complete with bonnet and cape.

Have a good day, everyone. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from N Bucks where it is still pitch dark!
Awake at what is (for me) silly o clock as I am running an Arts Society SID (Special Interest Day) on Scottish Art from the Glasgow Boys to the Scottish Colourists. It's proved popular and has sold out (50 people). Our speaker is coming by train from Macclesfield so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the trains are running OK.
Lunch is organised✔, venue organised✔, AV in capable hands ✔and I'm sure all will be well but I shan't relax until its over!
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and damp. GrandMattie it must be such a weight of your mind to know the job is being done properly.
Yesterday dgs2 woke too early and was grumpy. He had a fretful day. Dgs1 was very tired and emotional when I picked him up from nursery. All in all, a challenging day.
Today I'm hoping for a better one. Thank you for the kind words about my cold. It hasn't progressed much so fingers crossed dgs2 is sunny tempered. A walk will be a certainty. Other than that, some drawing, playing with cars and watching Bluey, his favourite cartoon. Have a good day all

Grandmabatty Tue 14-Nov-23 06:20:01

RosiesMaw that sounds really interesting. I hope everything goes well

RosesandLilac Tue 14-Nov-23 06:27:08

Good morning, ‘tis another wet start here, chilly too.
I couldn’t believe it yesterday when I noticed my self-seeded Love-in-the-mist are flowering! I still have bizzy lizzy, nemesias, petunias and cosmos flowering too. I’m reluctant to start clearing up the garden because insects and wildlife need all the help they can get.
The daft dog jumped in the canal yesterday thinking that the leaf covered surface was solid 🙄, I do sometimes wonder what goes through her brain, bless her! She didn’t enjoy the warm bath when she got home. For a dog that won’t walk through puddles she really is odd. I ❤️ her dearly.
Today I want to carry on with my watercolour painting, just trying something multi material stuff for a change and enjoying seeing what comes of it.
I hope today goes well for everyone 🌹

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark and looks wet
Sounds like a really interesting day rosiesmaw hope all goes well
DH got home eventually last night after a few problems on the trains, it was a long day for him so he was pleased to be back. I’m off to the gym this morning and then I’m doing a volunteering session on zoom this afternoon.
Your poor dog Roses, I bet that canal water was a shock!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I peeked through the curtains and it looks grey and dismal. Yesterday’s craft afternoon was fun.
Today’s plan is to go to Oxford, visit the Victorian exhibition at the Ashmolean and have lunch at Cote. OH would then buy some trousers at M&S. but, he had ordered some garage shelving to house his Bee keeping equipment. The delivery window is 8 am - 12 noon today! So we might make lunch.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a dark and damp Black Country. Where it is not raining at the moment.

We were lucky on our walk yesterday, although windy the sun shone, and didn't rain until I arrived home.

Off out shortly to take my car for it's MOT and Service. Need to be there for 8.00am.

Wishing you all a good day

Good morning from down South. A nondescript weather day so far.
Going to see a distant friend who is early 6o's and already in an old peoples' home, today.
Wasnt sure whether to write it on here or now.
She has virtually no relatives either. Sad.

kittylester Tue 14-Nov-23 07:19:32

Good morning from Colchester where the sun is forecast to appear today. The wind has dropped and the garden has a coating of leaves.
Tuesday means charity shop volunteering. We will be busy stocking up as the shop is opening extra hours tomorrow for the City lights switch on.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning.
Must get a wiggle on as we have friends coming to stay for 3 days. Actually they are b& b img with our mutual friends around the corner but we are providing 2 evenings meals and various activities.
We visit these friends in Brixham in the summer. They used to live here and we have all known each other for about 45 years .
Wishes no you all a pleasant day with a smile along the way.

Good morning from Cornwall where it's raining. Thank you for sympathy for my granddaughter yesterday; apparently the antibiotics are already working. How well these little ones bounce back. Walking through town my daughter and I met people who knew her as a child and stopped to chat. She stood out when she was little as the only blind child in town with a white stick and red hair so I suppose it's not surprising.

Today we'll mooch down to a Cornish café selling lovely cakes and have a cuppa and more chat. (Oh, the medals were reunited with their owner; a man using my son's taxi later in the night knew the owner, phew.)

Good morning from a bright, damp W Kent. DF coming for coffee later this morning and then U3A later. The opticians was successful yesterday and I have ordered new glasses which will hopefully be more comfortable with hearing aids. DH will go on the list for a cataract operation at some point.
Best wishes for today

I do hope it’s not 13th December or I’ve missed dd1’s birthday.
😀 I
Have a good day.

Gingster Tue 14-Nov-23 07:45:19

Good morning all and it’s calm and very still here in Essex. Storm Debi was a bit of a damp squib here.

I met up with ‘my lovely girl’ last evening for a meal. Her birthday is today. She’s expecting her second baby and moving, , all before Christmas .

Off to pick up dgd6 for school soon.I hope the traffic isn’t as bad as yesterday. It took me an hour and we just arrived by the skin of our teeth. Accident at the Rayleigh Weir. 😤.

My pooch has done that Rosesandlilac. She hurtled in to pond covered in algae and came out covered in slime, with a very surprised look on her face 🐶.

Enjoy the day 🍂🍁

Beechnut Tue 14-Nov-23 07:48:34

Good morning everyone from Severnside. It’s wet here and the sky is grey.

A lovely photo of Babydoll Marydoll. Did she wear a family gown as well as auntie Dolls shawl?

A staying indoors day for me. I went to the dentist yesterday to have my filling done and he told me to eat soft things for 24 hours.

I haven’t read any other posts yet.
Have a good day all 🪷

Morning Mick, morning All from a gloomy looking corner of Somerset. Wind has dropped thank goodness, heavy rain in the forecast though

Long call from our goddaughter yesterday, she isn’t known for using three words when three hundred will do. She’s very anxious, we’re concerned for her. Other than that just pottering and a quick phone chat with our just discharged from hospital friend.

Weary after another disturbed night. Hygienist appointments this morning, local theatre this evening and I suspect a nap this afternoon.

Safe trip to od and anyone else out and about. Good luck maw. All sounding positive grandmattie, so pleased for you.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Taichinan Tue 14-Nov-23 07:56:33

Good morning all from the Angus coast where it isn't raining - at the moment. No sun forecast here until Friday. This is usually one of our nicest times of year so it's rather sad.
Susan sorry to hear about your MiL. It sounds as if your relaxing week might not go quite as planned.
🤞your dgs2 is in sunny good form for you today Grandmabatty.
RoseandLilac that must have been a shock for your daft dog! My DD has a Red setter who was prone to doing crazy things - luckily she has calmed down with advancing years. All things are comparative though!
Nothing to report from here. Yesterday was wall-to-wall rain and the most exciting thing I did was watch the poor soaked birds feasting at the bird table.
Today is Tai chi and then shopping, including my visit to the fish shop.
I hope everyone's day is a good one x

Marydoll Tue 14-Nov-23 07:59:04

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, where it is 7°C.

Thank you all for your lovely comments about Babydoll yesterday.
Aggie, DH had to buy a new christening gown for her, none of the family ones fitted her.

Much to my relief, I tracked down my missing medication. It was still in the pharmacy safe, The new assistant, who gave me my medication on Friday, hadn't realised and I am away with the fairies.
While I was there, the pharmacist came out to speak to me. He was concerned about one of my medications and the frequency of the doses. He suggested I contact my GP to discuss it. It was prescribed by the useless ageist and dismissive GP a couple of months ago.
My GP is due to check up on me today (I hope), so hopefully get it sorted.

Although I felt pretty ropey, (my chest is really congested), I managed to catch up on Parish admin, which has been piling up. More of the same today.

Susan, wishing a speedy recovery for the wee ones and I hope those in the sick bay have a restful and gentle day.
Enjoy your day folks, whatever your plans.
