Good morning Mick and all who follow. It's a grey day on the Angus coast as the sun rises, but it's forecast to be a not-bad day 🤞.
Before I went out yesterday I was treated to a rare visitor to the bird table - a woodpecker! I hadn't expected that, I must say. There was also a goldfinch the day before. I can see this bird watching becoming an engrossing hobby 😊
I had lunch with my niece yesterday at a little cafe run daily by volunteers from the local church. It really was lovely - home-made soup, sandwiches and bakes. And of course lots of chat with my niece!
Your plasterer will certainly enjoy his birthday cake grandmattie - and even more so the pleasant surprise of it! I'm sure it will make his day.
I think by the sound of it we could all do with a dose of metacalm Whitewave 😉. Sad to hear about your aunt - I do dislike the term 'end of life care' and prefer 'palliative care', though sadly the result is the same. So sad.
It was my cousin's funeral yesterday - too far away for me to attend- and memories of him featured large in the conversation between my niece and I. He passed away so gently - just dozed off in his chair in the evening .......
Enjoy your coach trip Maw - sounds interesting as well as worry-free.
I have now run out of allotted wittering time as I must trot off and get ready for Thursday's tai chi class. Have the best day you can everyone 🌞
Terrible relationship with DIL - am I the problem?
