Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley.
Yesterday did graves with sister and brother in law, brought some pebbles to cover the graves as to stop weed growth , but with the dampness the cemetery had allot mushrooms growing edible?
Today stay in as I am expecting a Wiltshire farms meals delivery , but no allotted time .
Take Care,
Mick
Happy Birthday, Keepcalm!🎂💐
Happy Birthday keep calm, have a lovely day.
Lovely to see you quaintirene.
👋 nice to see you QuaintIrene good to hear your roof sorted, your name always conjures up my late MiL her name was Irene and she was very tiny 4ft 9ins.
Marydoll
^Marydoll ah yes the other grandparents. I sometimes wish I could go on the outings they sound so exciting……….^.
Lulu, the other granny has never taken Dollie anywhere. All empty promises and no sleepovers. Her loss........
Try not to seethe*Marydoll*. When Dollie grows up she will remember who gave her their time and took her places.
A quick in and out from West Cheshire to wish you all a late good morning.
Enjoy a restful week Susan. About time too.
Good luck to your brother Kitty.
Very happy birthday keepcalmandcavachon.
Grocery shopping today.
Look for that random pink flamingo everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 10°C. The wind has dropped completely and it feels very mild.
No real plans for today. The wardrobe is due another declutter, it has reverted to its messy state. I just shove things anywhere when I’m not too well and now I can’t find anything. I’m looking forward to seeing what treasures I may find, when I did it in 2020 I found an unopened bottle of Coco Mademoiselle and a few other things I’d forgotten I owned.
A busy week for you *Grandmabatty, hope it’s not too exhausting.
Susan and FancyThat hope you have a restful week.
Hoping all those who have been going through tough times can get some respite and find a little joy. Although I have my own health niggles they are nothing compared to those of many others and I feel ashamed for moaning when I have so much to be thankful for.
Happy Birthday keepcalmandcavachon
Have a good day all and stay safe if you’re out and about. Happy Monday 🌻
Marydoll I am sure that karaoke mic will get lots of use by Dollie that’s just the type of present grannies love to buy🤣. It is a brighter day here after a pretty dull and damp weekend must get out for a walk today I have been rather lax in that department recently ! All the grannies that do exercise classes put me to shame. Must also start to write Christmas cards although I am going to be ruthless and cut the number down this year due to the cost of stamps. I know it is still only mid November it the postal deliveries are very erratic here due to staff shortages. Take care.
keepcalm happy birthday to you.
Good morning Mick and all from a wet northwest coast.
General fatigue these days, which is a nuisance, but will try painting another Xmas card, I’m not pleased with my latest effort. Dreaming a lot and when woken up by the cat jumping on me, my late DH is usually with me and it’s hard to believe he’s gone. Strange to think we have a whole world going on in our head all night. It’s like two different lives.
There is a local play on tonight, but this lethargy means I’ll probably give it a miss, which is unlike me.
Will read through properly later, thoughts to kittylester and happy birthday keepcalm🎉
Good morning everyone. It's been a long time. Glad to report that the leaky roof that caused me terrible stress is now repaired. If we get a lot of snow I will be worried still but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
I'm going to the bread and butter project this afternoon. You get 3 bags of shopping for £8.50 sometimes it's good, other times not so much but I give away what I don't fancy.
Snowycat is still with me but very frail now. She had done cat milk earlier and has gone back to bed.
I sincerely hope everyone is keeping well 💐
Marydoll oh I see, as you say her loss
Happy birthday keepcalm
Good morning from Eden,up with the larks this morning to put everything in place for the scheduled Power cut, only to find the cut came at about 7am not 9 for about 15 mins then all came back on and they messaged to say No B....Power cut as their equipment has failed. Will notify us in the future!!!!
Knowing our luck it will be a weekend when we have visitors or maybe Christmas. Lights are popping on all over the village.
Sorry for all the people whose loved ones are ill.
What to do with an empty day? I did all the washing yesterday to get ahead.
I'll try and Facetime a School friend whose husband has terminal Cancer, and answer numerous messages from a young family member who has found a stash of unnamed family photos that none of us has, a big job lies ahead trying to name them.
It's very odd having a free day after planning for it for at least two weeks.
Good morning Mick and all. I'm very late this morning and if I stop to read the 40 posts ahead of me before I post it'll be lunchtime! Reading them will be my treat for later.
Had a lovely day yesterday meeting up for lunch with DD's family in Perth - although Dancing GD and her partner were both working, so our number was depleted. I enjoyed the drive as usual - the trees are still glorious, but losing their remaining leaves rapidly. I was home just after 4pm but it was already darker than I would have liked - my days of driving at night are definitely over, sadly.
Have a good day everyone and I hope those feeling less than 100% feel better today. Off I go to see if I can catch myself coming back!
Marydoll, I could go on all day about the other Granny. Both teenage GDs have little time for her now but are polite when in her company. Little does she know……
Marydoll many sympathies here regarding the other grandparents. I have one who does competitive grandparenting. I don't have to see him often, thank goodness. Dgs1 adores him whereas dgs2 is less enamoured. Susan definitely rest and recuperate this week.
Good morning all from a sunny 10deg. here in Glasgow.
A busy week ahead with one thing and another for which I will pace myself for fear of running out of steam.
I’m exhausted just reading about your week ahead Grandmabatty. Take care of yourself too.
Enjoy your well deserved week off Susan. Good plan.
Happy birthday keepcalmandcavachon 🎂
Best wishes to all for a good day, especially those with struggles and worries.
Good morning from the Essex coast. Dry at the moment but rain in forecast for later.
The AGM yesterday was all over in half an hour then we spent some time having a drink and chatting.
Lots of admin to do today and staying in for deliveries from the big river company.
Happy Birthday to Keepcalm, have a lovely day.
I hope everyone has a good week xxx
Marydoll ah yes the other grandparents. I sometimes wish I could go on the outings they sound so exciting………..
Lulu, the other granny has never taken Dollie anywhere. All empty promises and no sleepovers. Her loss........
Good morning all from (again) sunny N Bucks.
The Autumn colours from my bedroom window are more glorious than ever and I wish I had taken a picture every week as the changes have been at once imperceptible but also massive!
Today I need to do the things I postponed from yesterday(!) but am also looking forward to this afternoon’s art history. I am learning so much about significant women artists I had hardly heard of.
Too many people to mention by name but a handhold to kittylester and all others with loved ones undergoing treatment.
And Marydoll I sympathise. Youngest’s MIL does tend to dominate the tinies when we see them together although in her case it is kindly meant but I tend to feel outnumbered as both grandparents are there. That was why I so enjoyed a recent visit when D and I took the boys to the play park, MIL stayed behind with their dog and FIL stayed for a nap. So I had my D and my little grandsons “to myself” for a change, holding their tiny hands as we walked round!
Wishing you al a pleasant day.
Good morning from a sunny Peterborough. A very good Sunday lunch out at Stilton and no we didn’t have cheese. Today DB is taking us to Crowland Abbey and a light lunch out. The change of scene is doing us good I think.
Kittylester I hope your brother’s treatment goes to plan
Susan enjoy your week off, I have done that occasionally and it is a good idea.
Marydoll ah yes the other grandparents. I sometimes wish I could go on the outings they sound so exciting……….
Best wishes to all
Happy Birthday keepcalmandcavachon 🎂🥂🎉
Happy birthday keepcalm, have a great day.
Good morning from South Lanarkshire, it’s another dreich day here.
Poppies were successfully hung up to dry yesterday and a very cheerful lunch was enjoyed by the half dozen of our yarn group who were available to help.
Charity shop volunteering today then I really must do a supermarket sweep, planning meals and food shopping are my least favourite domestic tasks I think.
Good idea to take some time out Susan, take care of yourself.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning all from the Black country sun is trying to make an appearance so towels in the wash then out on the line.
No plans today perhaps a little housework.
Susan enjoy the week off you've earned it💐.
keepcalm have a lovely birthday and enjoy your cake🎉🎂.
Best wishes to anyone else celebrating and virtual hugs where needed, have a good Monday everyone and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning from East London.
Had two friends round for Roast lamb dinner then the lights flickered and died. Power cut for 8 hours!!!
Found the candles ok. DH came home from work and enjoyed the lamb and roast potatoes.
But at 1.15 am realised he'd lost one of his hearing aids. We hunted for an hour no luck.
How wonderful to have power this morning.
So a clearing up day today and off to buy more standbys. Aa batteries matches etc.
