The film "Witness" is powerful because it's so emotionally tense - full of conflicting feelings.
The scene where John Book is repairing his car in the barn and it leads to him dancing with Rachel is both sexually very tense and also warm and kind. Not even a kiss.
I was going to post a link but realised it really needs to be seen in context to read so powerfully.
Some of these highly charged moments need the "backstory" and emotional build up to be truly powerful. It's often the things around them that give them meaning.
On a different note I do so love the barn-raising music in that same film.
