travelsafar congratulations. You will love living on one level and you will be surprised how much money you save on heating costs . Plus easier to keep clean. I love living in my bungalow. All my bills are cheaper I own it so had it adapted to how I wanted it to be for my needs. And had my garden flattened and have an artificial lawn with inch thick padding under it as I fall.

Having a balcony is lovely. You can grow things in pots even veg if you want. Don't know if you have room for a chair . But you can have plenty of colour on it all year round .

Removal costs are high . Make sure you mark up your boxes and which room you want them in . I found decluttering my house decluttered my mind and got rid of things I had held onto far to long. I love my par downed living.

Don't forget to make a list of all the companies you use and let them know you are moving . You will be surprised how many you need to contact. You can have your mail forwarded to your new address. I had it for a 3 month period but can't remember how much it cost but you can do it online .

Enjoy your new home and you will be lovely and cosy over the winter. 🥂

Repairs - for some reason over the years, they never used to bother me.
I suppose now, with the increased cost of them, and DH and house both getting older, it means the repairshave become an increasingly, thought about issue.
