My non prescribed Laperamide capsules are working OK , have reduced intake as well to see how it works .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, I don’t know what it’s like outside yet but rain is forecast later.
We went for a long walk at the Breach Beacons visitor centre yesterday, across the common, DH and dog carried on up to the top of the hill fort. It was lovely to be somewhere different.
Low cloud loomed over Pen y Fan but it stayed dry for us. How I love that range of hills 😍, I could sit and look at the views there all day.
Not sure what we’re doing today, nothing planned.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning from a chilly Bristol, it’s quite cold although we are on the right side of 0C. No rain - yet.
Yesterday was very quiet, nothing much happening except for the painter being here all day again. I’ve got another two days.
I have wadded and backed my patchwork squares and started to assemble. The quilt. It looks very bright and cheerful.
Today I have the village festival in the afternoon. Apparently, one side street is closed and there are stalls and Santa’s grotto. The shops are open late and offer mulled wine and mince pies, there are choirs carolling…. I’ll be in church helping with crafts for tired parents and overexcited children.
May today be kind to you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from a still dark North Leicestershire. There is no rain on the windows.

Wednesday is our day for the cleaners at 8.45!! DH is off to the gym and I am helping on the last Carer's course of this session. It has been presented a bit differently this time and I haven't enjoyed it so much.

Present wrapping this afternoon.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all!

Feeling exhausted. Just about every online order I’ve made in the last couple of weeks has had some “problem” associated with it. Todays was JL. I did a click and collect from Waitrose 10 miles away only to find they hadn’t given me one of the orders even though I’d given both order numbers. So another trip back. 😡 DGS2 was jolly yesterday but his sister is on the sofa at home with a terrible cough and temperature. I collected her early from school on Monday and delivered her home as mum was on a conference call.

I hope everything is ok for your DGS2 Grandmabatty. So sorry that your DD keeps having things cancelled Gingster. I can hardly imagine the worry that must ensue. Yesterday’s meet-up with your neighbour must have been so stressful Urms but so kind of you to do so.

Have a good day all. Thoughts with all the poorlies.

harrigran Wed 06-Dec-23 06:57:20

Good morning from a frosty NE.
Binmen turned up to empty recycle bin, just five days late.
SIL is coming this morning and we will do a Sainsbury's shop.I am expecting a Waitrose wine delivery but haven't been given a slot yet.
Tonight is GD's school concert, always excellent, at the interval they serve mulled wine and warm mince pies.
Have a good day.

Greyduster Wed 06-Dec-23 06:59:09

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A hard frost in South Yorkshire this morning and it feels almost as cold indoors as it is out - CH is on but struggling. I have lunch with four of my neighbours at a local pub today and we are all greatly looking forward to it - we tend not to see as much of each other in the winter. No long light evenings (remember them?) and getting together in gardens for a glass or two. It will nice not to have to cook later. Other than that, nothing much doing.
Have the best day you can folks.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 06-Dec-23 07:07:39

Morning all from a still dark S E Essex. We have to move our cars before 8am so the builders can get their lorries and van on the drive (if we don’t it means asking them to move each time one of us needs to go out). I shall go to the gym this morning after changing the bed.

Lovely quilt grandMattie

Have a good day folks 🤶🏻🎄

Good morning from a chilly but dry Torbay.

Your Christmas event sounds good, grandMattie. I think you’re in the best place for it, being inside!
Such a shame for youngsters to be unwell at this special time of year, glammagran, with all the special activities in school.
I’m glad Wales is delivering for you, RosesandLilac, and hope you continue to enjoy it..

After a late finish to our rehearsal I was glad of my fleece PJ's! Yesterday I joined the Props team to go out for a Christmas meal locally which was enjoyable. I had game casserole with mash which was very tasty, if a little too salty.

Today I’m seeing a friend from schooldays who is travelling down for a funeral in Tavistock tomorrow. We last met when she joined us at the Regent Theatre in Hanley to watch my DGD dance in Swan Lake with The English Youth Ballet last year. She lives in Wickham.

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Mizuna Wed 06-Dec-23 07:18:34

Good morning from Cornwall where it's raining and not feeling very cold. There was a bit of Cornish pasty envy here yesterday; it's like bringing cheese back from France, these things don't seem to taste the same elsewhere.

Today a 10-mile bus journey to a craft group held in a town's library; we'll be printing Christmas wrapping paper. After that a 10-mile trip to another town and then completing the bus triangle by coming home.

I do wish I was a few hundred miles nearer so I could join in with the grans' meet-up.

baubles Wed 06-Dec-23 07:24:05

Good morning from frosty South Lanarkshire. It’s -2* according to Alexa.

Caught up with a couple of friends last night, one of whom is going through a dreadfully difficult time with a relative. It has had a devastating effect on her entire family, she is broken by the worry, stress and sadness. I so wish I could help her.

Looking forward to our meet up today in Glasgow.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grammaretto Wed 06-Dec-23 07:25:02

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Freezing cold so I'll be dressed for the weather rather than for the elegant Glasgow concert hall today for the Glesgu meet-up. I'm looking forward to it!
I bought a half price sewing machine in Lidl yesterday and it's entirely your fault Ash 😃 for telling us all.
Has anyone tried one? Are they any good?
I hope your DGS is ok grandmabatty
Well done on another quilt gMattie
I have to undo my mohair sweater as it's for an adult and will fit a child. It's very pretty though.

Hoping everyone has a good day whether in Glasgow or not.

ginny Wed 06-Dec-23 07:30:03

Good morning everyone.
DH is off to golf and I have no appointments or meetings,so hopefully a day to myself.
I’ll be busy though.
A little bit of sewing, a couple of cleaning jobs, and then some gift wrapping.
WI Christmas meeting this evening , we have a singer/s coming to entertain. Oh , just remembered I have to make some Brie and cranberry bites for the buffet.
Kind and healing thoughts for all who need them and a good day wished for all.

Ashcombe Wed 06-Dec-23 07:35:16

That made me chuckle, Grammaretto!

The half price middle of Lidl sale is only on for two more days, counting today. And no, I’m not on commission!, 🤣

Jaxjacky Wed 06-Dec-23 07:36:49

Morning from +3 in S Hampshire, rain coming in later.
Sounds glorious RosesandLilac.
I hope your daughter hears something today Gingster the waiting must be exhausting.
House stuff yesterday, washing, tidying, then I went out scouting for greenery to cut next week.
I must ring my 90 year old Uncle today, it’s always a good chat, then write and post our cards.

Marydoll Wed 06-Dec-23 07:39:16

Good morning all from Glasgow, where its -2°C and cloudy.

I have been up half the night, but hopefully it won't stop me heading to the Glesca meet up.
I am looking forward to seeing my Granspals again.
Something I bought in TKMaxx needs returned, so I have devised a cunning plan to get a train to Central, then switch to the low level and get a train to Argyll St. That way, I won't have to walk too far and not have enough puff to talk!

Have a pleasant day, whatever your plans.

luluaugust Wed 06-Dec-23 07:44:45

Good morning from a dry W Kent. Meeting a friend for tea this morning and then an afternoon finishing off the parcel packing.
Enjoy your meet up Glesca grans

Pittcity Wed 06-Dec-23 07:49:02

Good morning from frosty Colchester. Below freezing at the moment and reaching 5° later. Dry though.
Usual Wednesday morning coffee meetup in the city centre. Today we are walking up to a local restaurant for our Christmas lunch, always a jolly affair. I expect the Glesga grans will beat us at the blethering competition though!
DH is off out to meet up with some old friends.
Love to all 🦩 x

Grandmabatty Wed 06-Dec-23 07:51:34

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently -1° with a hard frost and fog. Brr.
Thank you for your kind words about dgs2. The appointment confirmed that he does have a hernia and will require surgery to get it fixed. We were quite sad for him but he was rampaging about as normal 😂 . It'll be keyhole surgery and he'll have to have a general anaesthetic.
I'm looking forward to a train trip to Glasgow and a catch up with the Glasgow Grannies. Like Grammaretto I'll be dressed for the weather, so expect to see a rotund bundle later ladies! Actually most of that will be me!Have a good day all

NanKate Wed 06-Dec-23 07:53:22

Good morning Mick and All from an improving weather scene here in South Bucks, we may even have some sunshine.

Have a lovely meet up Marydoll with your Granpals. I met up with KittyLester last Friday and we never stopped talking 😀. Back home now, I do miss my bed when I am away.

In recovery mode now having look after an invalid relative for 5 days whilst her husband had a pacemaker fitted.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 06-Dec-23 07:55:41

Morning all from a lightly frosted West Oxfordshire,
OH and I are having lunch out at one of our favourite places. Before that I will type up a friend’s Christmas letter. She is one of two people I know who is not computer literate, although she has a smart phone. I do this every year for her but I’m afraid it’s rather dullsad Later there is a short WI meeting to discuss our forthcoming Christmas dinner and next year’s programme. Finally, I will be listening to a talk on zoom about London’s parks and squares.
Have a wonderful time with your Glasgow pals MaryD. I love that quilt GM!

Stilllearning Wed 06-Dec-23 07:57:05

Morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire, still dark here too.

Thinking about your wee DGS Grandma, I hope he is okay.

Off today to our ‘Glesca’ meet-up and very much looking forward to it. It will be lovely if everyone who hopes to come is able to. I’m going to try to get in a little bit early and fit in a visit to M&S.

Wishing everyone the best possible day with special thoughts to Urms

RosiesMaw Wed 06-Dec-23 08:12:05

Good morning from a rather foggy N Bucks and I can hear my neighbour scraping his windscreen. Glad I am not heading off anywhere and wish a safe journey to all who are.
The “to do” list is shortening - Christmas cake baked - I know it’s late but I was tempted by a “kit” of measured organic ingredients in the Refill shop in Bournville on Saturday.
Some Christmas presents bought , but the cards………well, not quite in the zone yet. Might make a slow cooker casserole for tonight - Delia’s Spanish Pork and Chorizo, it’s the weather for it.
Todays Opera Plus is cancelled as our speaker is poorly which is a shame as I really enjoy it, so it may be the cards after all.
Wishing the Glesca Grannies a fun meet up - oh to be a fly on the wall.
With kind thoughts to all who are poorly or worried . May today be kind to you.

grandMattie Wed 06-Dec-23 08:17:30

Good plan, Marydoll. Enjoy your meeting too.

monk08 Wed 06-Dec-23 08:20:34

Good morning all from a frosty Black country.
Neighbours cards to write and deliver today.
DH has some trophies to deliver to a member who was unable to attend the presentation, think I shall go with him conveniently theres a Lidl near by so can check out these middle deals.
Enjoy your meet up ladies I'm sure you will have an enjoyable time.
Have a lovely day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
