Hearing a little tot looking up at my firstborne and saying "Grandad"!

Trying anything on in our local M&S. The changing rooms have all round mirrors so there is no escape from seeing my body as it actually is.

Some younger person blessing me 🤣

I hate that blessing business. So patronising.

Still trying to do some of the dance moves I used to do the knees are too stiff these days. Sometimes a good song from the past will come on and I still have a little dance the grand children think I am hilarious and can't stop laughing at me.

Being told I'm doing well for my age.
Not knowing any of the celebrities in any celebrity TV show.
Just being known as granny even by my DC.😞 As in;
"give that to granny" or ask granny if she can help you"

The things I quite like are taking a front seat on the bus without anyone glaring at me. I daresay there are other benefits but I can't think what.

When folks ask me how old my boys are

Oh yes thescrolling down for year of birth is disheartening, I worry that one day my year won't be there.
That 30 years ago was not 1970 and that one of my daughters is now 55. The list goes on.

Nothing makes me feel my age like .... seeing how young the consultants at the hospital are. They look as though they haven't even qualified yet.

I agree with all these. I was at a carol concert tonight and found standing to sing hard and my legs ached. I miss my dancing across the floor, youth.

Houses built in the 1960s are considered old! I remember them being built.

Foxie48, yes, bending over to try on trousers in M&S changing rooms and seeing how awful I look from behind!

The fact that just getting dressed in the morning has to be planned. I used to be able to just throw clothes on!

Also seeing photographs of ancient rock stars and realising they are the same age (or even younger) than me.
