Good Morning Everyone,
And a Happy New Year.
Dark , dry and cold outside here in brackley .
After a easy day yesterday , will relax a little bit again today , may sample a beer as well.
Had a quiet evening dropping off to sleep early ,and usual routine .
Take Care,
Mick

Happy New Year to all. We stayed up the see the old year out and the new in, accompanied by BBC Scotland’s Hogmanay party - particularly enjoyed a group new to me, the Kinnaris Quintet.

Happy Anniversary to the Thorntrees.

Will call on my neighbour and phone my sister to wish them a happy New Year.

Happy New Year to Mick and Everyone and best wishes for a good year ahead.
I don't post very often as in need of a new laptop but I always try to read or catch up(when I can) with the morning thread.
Have been on GN since 2007 so not a newbie and remember a few of you from way back then.
Apart from Friday Girl and Ellen Vannin I also remember Gabriella. Anyone else remember her.I used to like reading about her morning walks and healthy breakfasts.Plus her cup of tea with the man and his dog on the boat.
Today it's wet and grey here in the NW although I saw a small spot of blue earlier.
Anyway folks enjoy the rest of today and fingers crossed for 2024.

Happy New Year to you all.

Fireworks outside until half-past two here, so didn't get up until 8 - one scaredy cat felt safest under my bed, the other stayed in my armchair where he could see what was happening outside.

Put the bins back down at the bottom of the drive - moved them yesterday so no pranksters would switch them with one of the neigbours and locked my letter ´-box again - left it open yesterday to discourage the custom of jamming a firework into it.

Listened to Wiener Philharmonikers Neujahrskonzert as usual with phone SWITCHED OFF.

Weather rainy and cold, so didn't go for walk, but started stripping off wallpaper in an upstairs room instead.

Just got round to Gransnet now at 16,30 continental time.
