Get to grips with crochet, all those gorgeous yarns!
Get to know Shakespeare and finally work my way through a local walks booklet.
Anyone else going wild?

AGAA4 Fri 12-Jan-24 16:20:45

Hopefully this year I will get back to my writing, do more to keep fit and visit more interesting places in the UK.

Oreo Fri 12-Jan-24 16:46:24

Will get some sort of holiday.

PinkCosmos Fri 12-Jan-24 16:53:09

Also, hopefully get to grips with crochet
Lose some weight - which hardly needs saying grin
Make the effort to go for more walks - which will help with the above
Declutter and stop buying more stuff

Ah, I was wondering if anyone started to achieve any new year goals.

I getting back on track with fitness, alternating yoga and weight classes online.

I did start knitting again, and put a timer on my watch for one hour. I find after that my hands get a bit sore, so an hour is enough. There's a new grandbaby arriving in March, so the blanket needs to be done before then!

I'm also going to try to eat less meat. but it's tough to crack a lifetime of habit of meat, veg, potato meals.

I need to get to grips with decluttering my garage - which is full of "stuff" - no cars as I dont drive.

JamesandJon33 Fri 12-Jan-24 17:24:52

See my first book on the shelves

keepcalmandcavachon Fri 12-Jan-24 18:01:12

Good luck everyone, we shall all be fit, decluttered, crafty wordsmiths grin
Congratulations CanadianGran a Spring baby!

Gwyllt Fri 12-Jan-24 18:03:32

Kim19 Fri 12-Jan-24 18:06:12

Socialise more preferably in a lunch format.

All I can add , is that Crochet is not compatible with decluttering!
I love it ! I have yarn in boxes , in the cupboard , behind the sofa โ€ฆ .?
You get the picture ? ๐Ÿ˜€

Doodledog Fri 12-Jan-24 18:12:35

Get my bathroom remodelled.
Widen my circle of local friends.
Refrain from re-cluttering my newly decluttered house grin

Cabbie21 Fri 12-Jan-24 18:16:59

Achieve more decluttering, then get various rooms decorated.

Go on holiday- it didnโ€™t happen last year apart from one short break,
Get used to doing more things on my own.

But turning that yarn into something useful is decluttering, aggie
Or so I keep telling myself ๐Ÿ˜
I taught myself how to crochet during lockdowns and can recommend following YouTubs videos, eg Bella Coco and Hooked by Robin.

Now, to get to grips with cross stitch ๐Ÿค”

I want to learn so those you tube sites are really useful thank you

JaneJudge Fri 12-Jan-24 18:23:21

mine was to get a new job and guess what? I applied for one last week and I think I was offered it verbally yesterday, so we will see smile if not, it has given me a new confidence that I can do this

Callistemon21 Fri 12-Jan-24 18:23:21

YouTube not YouTubs ๐Ÿ˜

Nell8 Fri 12-Jan-24 18:25:41

I need to get my head round more of the household administration which DH happily does. Unfortunately I start to get the hang of the computer software and then it goes and updates itself leaving me floundering again ...

keepcalmandcavachon Fri 12-Jan-24 18:28:36

Thanks for the crochet video recommendations Callistemon21, is the YouTubs one for fitness? grin

Grammaretto Fri 12-Jan-24 18:30:59

Congratulations! Can you tell us more, or would it be too 'outing'?

crazyH Fri 12-Jan-24 21:02:52

Hopefully , start my daily walks again

teabagwoman Fri 12-Jan-24 21:17:47

I hope to master pacing myself, have a holiday, continue decluttering and finally get some NHS treatment for my spinal problems.

lixy Fri 12-Jan-24 21:25:49

complete the building work that seems to have been going on for ever
I have challenged myself with a complicated project - knitting a beaded bag for my DD bd. Plenty of time as it is at the end of the year but I foresee much head-scratching and unpicking as I get to grips with the pattern.

Well done JaneJudge - hope it goes well for you. smile
