Get to grips with crochet, all those gorgeous yarns!
Get to know Shakespeare and finally work my way through a local walks booklet.
Anyone else going wild?

Well done JJ, hope your new job is all you want it to be!

Thanks for your positive comments on my weight loss, it was at a steady 2 lbs per week on average, allowing for a couple of holidays when there was no loss/a slight gain. I was getting used to the new size me, and not thinking it was anything remarkable, but then this morning I went through my summer clothes in preparation for a winter sun break, everything is soo baggy, even t shirts........charity shop will be getting a few bags full. I have bagged up a few very good condition bras to be sent to 'Smalls for all' the charity which sends bras to Africa.

Two and half stOnes is loads in that amount of time, well done x

I got the job 🌙 I just need security clearance. It’s a complete change of direction but I think it will give me much more of a work/life balance

Thank you. It has taken since end of May but I am feeling a lot better for it.

JaneJudge Sat 13-Jan-24 17:46:52

thanks everyone blush

Well done, HousePlantQueen on your weight loss!
That should be on my list of aims too.

HousePlantQueen Sat 13-Jan-24 11:55:04

well done JaneJudge, hope all is confirmed soon. I plan on keeping off the weight that I have successfully lost (2.5 stones). The clearing out of cupboards and drawers is going well too, helped by getting rid of clothes that no longer fit.

I went back to knitting end of last year just squares for blankets for charities. The knitting has actually improved my arthritic hands as they felt like they were ceasing up.
Our son is renovating our house so decluttering will come automatic but best done when my husband is out. He tends to hang on to stuff and doesn’t like letting go.

Get back to knitting. Finding it harder than I used to because I am having a few problems with my hands.
I too am getting a new grandchild later this year and I must knit him/her the same hat as no1 and no2 had! smile

lixy Fri 12-Jan-24 21:25:49

complete the building work that seems to have been going on for ever
I have challenged myself with a complicated project - knitting a beaded bag for my DD bd. Plenty of time as it is at the end of the year but I foresee much head-scratching and unpicking as I get to grips with the pattern.

Well done JaneJudge - hope it goes well for you. smile

I hope to master pacing myself, have a holiday, continue decluttering and finally get some NHS treatment for my spinal problems.

crazyH Fri 12-Jan-24 21:02:52

Hopefully , start my daily walks again

I need to get my head round more of the household administration which DH happily does. Unfortunately I start to get the hang of the computer software and then it goes and updates itself leaving me floundering again ...

Callistemon21 Fri 12-Jan-24 18:23:21

YouTube not YouTubs 😁
