Jug of daffodils, where's yours?

Mine are in my DM's old blue and white jug, on the table in the porch!

In an old white jug, on the worktop, by the sink.

Just thrown out some ftom the dining table.

I love all flowers but a nice vase of daffodils at this time of year cheers me up and makes the house look nice and homely.
I normally have them in the dining room.

My lovely sister treated me to these beauties on Saturday. They were a total surprise and look so cheerful on the windowsill next to the poinsettia.

On the trolley in between the cooking kitchen and the dining (room) area. Lovely and cheerful.

The daffs I bought just over a week ago have withered. They were on my dining/multi-purpose table and cheered the place up. Perhaps I'll get another bunch next time I go shopping.

Daffodils are for St. David’s day. I have a jug of fat white camellia buds on the dresser at the moment

Daffodils are for any day, once they are out.They bring the sunshine and hope for spring time.

At £1 a bunch they bring cheerfulness to my hall.

One bunch on the coffee table in a blue vase so that I can see them when I’m sat on the sofa, and another bunch in the dining room on the dresser.
I bought my first bunch this year on Christmas Eve in M & S and will keep buying a couple of bunches a week for as long as they go on.

I loathe yellow - however, I make daffodils an exception as they herald the coming of Spring, new life, new plans and the promise of lighter nights.
I’ve some on my family room windowsill, a bunch on the kitchen window ledge, another bunch on the radiator cover (rad isn’t on) and half a dozen, cut very short, on my desk.

None inside yet here. That would be to leapfrog over the snowdrops, which in fact I prefer. Mine aren't out yet (snowdrops that is)

I haven’t seen a single daffodil out here in Norfolk.

Daffodils feel wrong in January, I wait until March 1st.

I haven't seen any yet in the shops. They would have to be greenhouse grown here, or imported from further south.

May I ask what you pay for a bunch of 5? I love daffs, but last year I noticed they were very expensive, around $7 or 4GBP

Mine aren’t out yet but they are ready and waiting on the kitchen windowsill. I bought my neighbour a couple of bunches too, just a token for her loveliness .

£1 a bunch at the moment *CanadianGran’ in M&S. A couple of pence cheaper in Aldi, but fewer blooms.

Should have said 10 stalks.

I got mine on Saturday at the greengrocers.

Mine are on the windowsill at the front of my house so I can see the bright colour coming home as I drive in to the drive. I am on my second bunch from Sainsburys (£1) already and love to see them in the shops so early. I have planted a load of daffodil bulbs in my garden too but they still have a lot of growing to do....can't wait to see them in the Spring 🙂

Lovely daffy photos everyone. CanadianGran such a shame to miss out if they are so pricey - at school we used to make tissue paper ones, you'll have to get your scissors and glue out!

Not noticed any in the shops round here yet (West Midlands) although Lidl had tulips in yesterday. I always buy daffs when they do appear. So lovely and sunny, a reminder that Spring is not too far away although with today being so bloomin' cold it certainly feels like it.

They're so lovely, never met anyone who didn't like them and you can't say that about too many things!

I feel bad about it, but I don’t like them. They smell (to me) like pee.

I’ve a bunch on a coffee table in front of patio doors. A sort of cheerful link to the outside. The garden varieties are just pushing through very cold earth.

I’ve not always welcomed them inside. A vase full was by my Mums bed as she passed away. I had sat all night holding her hand next to the daffodils noticing their scent. Couldn’t cope with daffodils indoors for about ten years. That was 30 years ago so I’ve been enjoying them for a good few years again and have no qualms about daffodils in a vase now, they cheer me.

I adore daffodils and my husband knows not to buy me anything else, so I tend to get a lot of flowers around this time, leading up to my birthday which is the 1st of March. That's St David's day and the daffodil is the national Welsh flower. I told him when I pass away, it will need to be this time of year as I don't want any other flowers on my coffin!!

Daffodils remind me of my Mum, she always loved the £1 bunches.
Last time DD1 visited in the spring she carefully nursed a bunch all through the airport queues and flight and got them safely here.
