Good morning from a very windy start to the day here on the east coast of Fife.
I had a great day yesterday when my family visited and we had my delicious beef bourginough we looked at vey old photographs found in the loft. My next project will be to put them on my iPad.
I’m going to have another great day today some of my family stayed the night the wine was flowing.

Stay safe and we’ll my friends

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire. It is supposed to be eight degrees outside but it doesn’t feel like it.
I have a cake to ice for DD’s birthday tomorrow. They are coming over for lunch today, though, as GS is playing football against our local village side. It’s dry at the moment so I hope it stays that way for his match.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from West Wales.

Another day of trying to persuade my DH’s eldest sister to part with a single thing from his parents house🤯absolute nightmare. Two siblings want to sort things the other two siblings won’t let anything go and I mean anything.Out of date medication anyone?old receipts🤯horrendous🤦🏼‍♀️

My thoughts are with Baggs, Kalu and Urms and anyone else caring for or suffering themselves from illness.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a damp, breezy Colchester. It's 7° at the moment rising to 12 later. Tropical considering it was below freezing yesterday. The storm is due to hit this afternoon.
I'll walk to get a few bits and then hunker down. DH has a fishing AGM but will come home once the wind starts.
Roast Pork later.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning everyone, we’re enjoying our on holiday in Tenerife and pleased to be missing the Inverness weather. Yesterday was a bit cloudy here but still warm about 19º
Sorry to hear you were upset yesterday Bellasnanna it’s always a tough task sorting through old memories. I hope today is better for you
DH will be off out soon to get something for breakfast, the little shop opposite the apartment is closed on Sundays so he’ll have to go a bit further. I think he enjoys his morning outing and it gives me chance to get showered and put the coffee on. We’re in La Orotava, a small town up the hill just north of Puerto de la Cruz, there’s lots to see here and easy to get to other places too
Happy Birthday to your DH llfl, enjoy your lunch out
Take care everyone with the stormy weather
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from very wet south Glos, I’ve been awake since 1am with stomach pain, I have no idea what caused it so feeling wishy washy.
Yesterday we had a lovely walk across fields and footpaths, the wind was bitter but we enjoyed it. There was thick ice still on one lane where a spring runs along it, I was glad we could use the grass verge to avoid slipping up.
Today a roast dinner, DH is walking the dog and I want to do some drawing. Heavy rain forecast for later when the storm comes.
Take care everyone 🌹

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. There doesn’t seem to be a frost and it doesn’t feel too cold.
It is OH’s 72nd birthday today. He was a mere 22 when we first met!
Church this morning at the smallest church in the Benefice. I’ve booked lunch for us at an American style smoke house. We’ll have the Barmbrack I made yesterday for Afternoon tea.
Have a good day, I’m thinking of those with difficulties and sadness, especially Baggs and Urms.

Good morning from Cornwall where I can feel the change in atmosphere but the blustery weather hasn't arrived yet. I love all the different weathers we have in this country.

My granddaughter came unexpectedly for the afternoon yesterday and we chatted non-stop. This afternoon my broken-footed son is coming for a roast and to see my new sofa, which I'm still inordinately delighted with. 😄 Finished sewing a border around my denim throw. Will start on a waistcoat this morning; making it from a deconstructed fleece top.

Good morning all from a slightly warmer North Leicestershire.

Up and on the move as we have 3dgc today. And a meal to provide for everyone this evening.

My friend has been put on palliative care now and her family are taking it in turns to be with her so I just await news.

Have the best days possible everyone.

Good morning from a windy South Downs. No doubt we will be buffeted - the dog and I - on our early morning walk.

ashcombe 🙂 - I have a photo of me at about 5years old sitting by some Torquay palms - a day out I guess. So about 1951.

karmalady maybe it depends on what part or age of the alpaca. I have a number of alpaca garments and none are scratchy. I reckon you’ve just been unlucky.

Today - nothing planned. I shall bask in the cleanliness of my spring cleaned conservatory which was finished yesterday. Next week I shall tackle the main living room.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony to the world.

Good morning from Malta where we have some much needed rain. The temperature has dropped to 12°C from 20°C yesterday so it feels quite chilly. Houses here do not usually have central heating so it often feels warmer out than in.

Made myself thoroughly miserable yesterday sorting through old memories, finding cards and letters from when my sisters and husband died. Can’t face any more today.

Watching tennis at present then will go to Mass at 11.30 otherwise a relaxing day before a new week of caring for our two little sweethearts.

Baggs and *Urms are never far from my thoughts. 🌹

Wishing everyone the best day possible.☀️

Good morning, sit tight today, only yellow storm weather here today and tomorrow in s somerset. I hope you are all stay safe

It took me a whole day to unpick the jumper neck and then alter and finish it, it was worth it. I cannot abide having any neck too high at the front. I am going to keep using that pattern now. Another problem is that the yarn contains alpaca, which I never realised was so horribly itchy. I will have to wear a shirt with that yarn, something else to look forward to making

Indoors day again today and a good chance to replace a broken zip on a sportswear item for a dd. I will also be thinking about another batch cook of ready meals, probably next week. I think probably lamb. The lasagne was superb and I stashed 7 portions into my freezer. It makes good sense when living on my own

Have a safe day

Good morning from a damp, breezy Torbay - a change heralded by the colourful sunrise captured yesterday morning.

Hope both batteries are soon recharged, Oopsadaisy; that made me smile!

In response to Whitewavemark2’s question yesterday, the Council has recently taken out several mature palm trees from a seafront public garden but there are still many more growing in people's gardens, which are safe.

Early service then another indoor day is needed. Wishing you all a blessed Sunday. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a much milder Bristol. I agree with Mick, that the wind made it feel a great deal colder.
I tru that Baggs DD is now safely home, comfortable and surrounded by her family. You will all be in my prayers.
Quiet day yesterday, church coffee and then pootling about at home. I started some more marmalade to finish today.
I got a recipe for a cauliflower curry at Waitrose and tried it out last nigh. It was very nice.
Today, church and marmalade. I’ve got another busy week to come.
Blessed Sunday to you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 21-Jan-24 05:58:10

Good morning Mick and all who follow, very windy and wet here as well, but it’s warmer.
I have a busy day cooking for the freezer ready for our week away next weekend.
I’ll pop back and read what everyone else is up to later, I’ve been awake since 3am and my battery is almost flat, so is the iPads!
Take care everyone, don’t get blown away.
