What a fabulous new kitchen. I haven't made anything but you should all be very relieved about that.
That made me giggle kitty! 😁

Looks a great place Blossoming.
What a a lovely cat SueD.
I had a very bad night so feel out of it today,I hope tonight will be better as need to be well for next week.
Jax we don’t know yet if the film company will use our flat but they will definitely be filming in the grounds so, all very exciting.
Enjoy your evening everyone.
Urms, I’m so glad our good news lifted your spirits. I know how well how exhausting worrying is, just at a time when you want to be calm, relaxed and thoughtful to support your other half. I wish you both strength and hope as you carry on and shall be thinking of you.
Take care Urms thinking of you both and hoping the new treatment goes well x
You must do what’s best for you, Urms. You know there’ll always be a welcome here when you want one. ❤️
Thinking of you both, Urms, hoping and praying that this treatment will be a good help.
Soop, so sorry to hear that sad news.
TOYA
Beautiful wee boy, SueD. 🙀
Thinking of you & your husband Urmstongran, x
Urms... Wishing you and himself the bestest of times to make many happy memories when gaps in hospital visits and treatments allow.
Urms, I’ll miss your posts. Here’s hoping that the chemo sessions achieve all that you are hoping for. I’ll be thinking of you 🤗
Baggs, your DD has such a fine talent. She has given you a tin of treasures there 💐
Hello kitchen people - and the new kitchen people too!
I’ll be thinking of you Urms and praying that your OH will do well with his new treatment.
Gosh, Baggs, your daughter is so talented.
Soop - I do hope Mr Soop’s scalp is improving,
OH and I had lunch at our favourite place today. My steak was perfectly pink and OH enjoyed his stuffed chicken. The garlic mushrooms we started with were splendid.
When we got back I hung the new curtains I had ordered for the dining room. What a green room it is! Sleep tight.
We’ll mis you but of course you must care for yourself as well as your lovely husband urms. Just go with your instinct. My love to you both, I’ll be thinking of you.
Your daughters work is truly beautiful baggs. Will you keep special pieces?
After an unexpectedly sunny morning when we enjoyed a relaxing beach walk I feel flattened. Our daughter in law is unwell. Outpatients today and she’ll be a day patient tomorrow for more testing and treatment. There could well be more major surgery to come. Please think of her. When the news arrived I’d just heard our friend’s position in her Home is now under major pressure. It could be she will need to be moved to emergency accommodation. I can’t go into details, suffice to say I’m more than angry, although not with the Home. Anger isn't a good mix with worry.
Tomorrow will be better. Volunteering in the morning which I always love then our first Tai Chi class in the afternoon. Now anything could and probably will happen there
.
Love your room yia. We’re debating new blinds for our conservatory, I’m leaning towards a bright pattern, suffice to say Mr C is recovering from shock.
Off to bed now. Goodnight everyone.
Cornergran, I'm so sorry to hear of your worries about your DDIL and your DF. Thinking of them, and you, sending love and prayers. 💕🙏
Baggs, your DD has a good pair of hands, her work is exquisite. Thinking of her, and you, and all who love her. 💕🙏
Ladyleftfieldlover, your dining room is stunning! I tend to play it safe with colours and patterns nowadays, although I remember having a purple patterned fireplace wall and swirly carpets in the early seventies...as Elaine C.Smith quipped,
'We didn't need drugs!'
I'm catching up on some housework and washing, because I've been distracted by a gripping novel....one of my absolute pleasures in retirement is reading in the day time, books were for bedtime when I was working.
Wishing everyone a peaceful Friday and a good weekend. TOYA.
Urms Us lot totally understand that you have priorities and that you feel the need to take a wee break. We all wish you and your dear husband well. Whenever you feel like popping in for cuddle and a cuppa, we'll be mighty pleased to welcome you.
Llfl You have good taste. I love the decor.
Our friend is to be privately cremated at a later date. The gathering in the kirk on Tuesday is for friends to pay their respects. Our group of friends, like we two, are in their eighties. Many gatherings of yesteryear have now been reduced to a few.
Urms My thoughts and prayers will be with you and "Himself" as you make your way through this new treatment together. My hope is that it is successful and there is a good outcome. Keep safe and love
Just a very brief pop in to say hello and send kindest thoughts to those who need them.
Once again the wheels have come off my life and for the foreseeable future I have my youngest GG living with me , two teenage boys and their father who is struggling with work and getting some much needed stability and order into their lives.
It is a complicated and sad story.
So from my GD and me plus Molly we are a household of five.
It is a shock and hard work.
The boys are currently not in education so are at home with me all day.
I may or may not come through this😏
Only partly joking 🫣
Hope that things improve for you and your family Ann and that things settle down quickly.
I have been getting on with a few chores but my body is saying no now so am resting.
Have a good evening all x
Annsixty you have a big heart to take them all in. Look after yourself too.
Breakfast with two friends,DD and dgs2 at the local garden centre today. It was lovely. Dgs2 behaved beautifully for a toddler. I've been very lazy this afternoon though. It's time I have myself a kick. Have a good evening Kitcheners
annsixty, sorry that you're having more tough times, I do hope solutions can be found for these problems.
In the meantime, take care of yourself. I'm sending you the warmest of kind thoughts.
May I echo what soop thoughtfully wrote today at 15:47, to Urms, &, indeed, to all who have extra worries.
My warm wishes to all in this friendly kitchen. x
Busy day today. As issues at the surgery meant volunteering was best postponed I felt obliged to persevere with my ‘important stuff’ list plus the ironing.
Mid morning a call came from the dental surgery asking if we could go this afternoon for a checkup. We couldn’t refuse as when our dentist left last year there was no space for us to be re-allocated. After lunch it was our first venture into Tau Chi. I loved it, the jury is out with Mr C. Then it was straight off to the dentist. Mr C needs treatment, the bank balance is very relieved I don’t. Very pleasant dentist, I liked him (easy on the eye
) although Mr C struggled with his strong accent, not a good mix with hearing loss.
Other than being a bit edgy waiting for news of our daughter in law (still waiting) it’s been a decent enough day.
Goodness ann, although your family must be so pleased you can accommodate them I can imagine the noise level has increased considerably. I hope they will all help with the cleaning and other domestic necessities.
Your ‘for a toddler’ comment made me smile grandmab, I can recall saying something similar so many times.
Losing our friends is a major downside of maturity for sure soop. My thoughts will be with you on Tuesday. We’ll be attending the funeral of a friend and neighbour the following week, all very sad.
Time for feet up and maybe a piece of cake. A glass of wine later for us both.
TOYA.
