We went off at a tangent on the 50 Book Challenge thread after the mention of a book about The Beatles, so I thought I'd start a new thread to save derailing TerriBull's thread.

I have memories of going to several pop concerts - one was The Beatles and Roy Orbison in London, and there were several others in my home town - Billy Fury, Eden Kane, Helen Shapiro and Gene Pitney to name a few.

It was a wonderful time to be young - the music, the clothes, the dancing and fun.

ixion Your photo is exactly how it was. My friends and I all looked like that. We tried to be Mods but as we were students we couldn’t really afford the clothes. I yearned for a Gladstone bag and Courrege boots. I ironed my wavy hair and wore false eyelashes top and bottom. We often wore no shoes like Sandy Shaw. We smoked and drank cider or Babycham. We hitchhiked for miles just for fun sometimes. Wonderful days.

First boyfriend suggested that we should have Albatross Fleetwood Mac as our song. If it wasn't for that song I'd have forgotten him by now.
