I will try it later in the week , plans for the day usual bus to Bicester , shopping wise I noticed some multi grow plant liquid , I will buy some so I can feed my fathers graves rose bush which he planted a few years before when he brought the plot.

Good morning from a chilly Torbay but with sunshine promised.

A busy week ahead with my DS, his lady friend and DGS3 staying nearby so will be spending time with them. Also, DH, olddudders, is arriving tomorrow for about three weeks, just in time for Valentine’s Day. 💕

I hope this week sees a lifting of spirits where needed. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from Bristol. I haven’t looked out, but today promised to be cool and bright.
My poorly neighbour called me yesterday, and sounded incredibly improved. Obviously, the GP’s “horse pills” are working their magic. I’m so pleased for her.
DS called me from India for a chat. I hear from him about 3very 3-5 weeks depending on how busy he is. He is delighted because he has been asked to attend a conference in Hà Nội, which he loves, as representative of his college, one of a franchise of UWCs, in April, I think.
I’m expecting a delivery of my final IKEA stuff, a third set of drawers for my fabric stash. The DGDs will organise them (and me) tomorrow when they are spending a rare day with me.
Tesco today and potter, organising myself for tomorrow, also some sewing..
I hope the new week is kind to all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

How lovely for you, Ash, best wishes to oldd.
Having been brought up more French than English, Valentine’s Day means little to me. Also DH was the least romantic of men, bless him! 😂

Pantglas2 Mon 12-Feb-24 06:06:13

Morning all from a dry and dark north Wales where I’m all rugbied 🏉and footied ⚽️out - disappointed with the former but happy with the latter 😊

Love that Old Dudders is back for Valentine’s Day, Ashcombe- you romantic thing you 😉 - we’re off for an overnighter at a small hotel nearby, new to us but recommended 🤗

So sad to read about Baggs daughter and hope all with health challenges, their own and loved ones, have a reasonable day x

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks dry, a very welcome sunny day forecast.

Mr C dealt with the car while I dealt with the roses and some weeds yesterday. Goodness our garden is squishy. Carried on with the greetings cards, the task is turning into one of those good ideas that get to feel the opposite

Off for a walk and a visit to a couple of garden centres today. We’re in search of a new seat to go under a pergola.

Sounds an enjoyable week ahead ash, safe journey wishes for your husband.

Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Good morning from chilly West Berkshire. Volunteering day today which I love.

Mick don’t forget to make an urgent appointment with your doctor as you mentioned blood in your wee recently.

Best wishes to all who follow.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and dry. I, too, was saddened to hear Baggs news.
Yesterday dgs1 and I had breakfast at the local garden centre. He was a delight to have for a sleepover. After he was picked up, I visited mum but didn't stay long as she wasn't in a chatty mood.
I have both boys today because of the February holiday. I'm not sure what we'll do. Dgs1 will want to use the new garden tools I bought them yesterday but it'll depend on the weather. Have a good day all.

grandMattie Mon 12-Feb-24 06:25:05

Oh, Baggs, my heart bleeds for you and for the family. Your poor girl fought so very hard. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I know how difficult it all is, and trust you will remember the happy time, the joyful events, the funny things with warmth in your heart.❤️

Good morning from s somerset, it is going to be a glorious sunny day today

I have a haircut with a new hairdresser, within walking distance, all part of my planning for minimal future car use. Nothing else on the cards but likely that I will prise some weeds out of the garden

Have a good day

Kalu Mon 12-Feb-24 06:28:34

Good morning from Glasgow. I have no idea what today’s weather prediction is but I hear rain! When I realised it wasn’t raining late last night I stepped into the garden for some fresh air and it felt a good bit milder outdoors.

This irritating cough interrupted sleep again last night, 4hrs sleep doesn’t bode well for a constructive day. I have a dental appointment at noon and a parcel to collect from M&S. this afternoon could be a lazy one possibly including a snooze.

Romance is in the air I notice. I have a card for DH and he had a suspiciously flat parcel delivered yesterday🤔

Hopefully a good day is ahead for all including those with worries and troubled times.

MzOops leaves this morning, to see her ex MIL first then home.
Shopping delivery later, then clear up after MzOops has left crates and boxes to be stored dotted around the house.

Good morning all and it’s dark and damp here in Essex.

Thinking of you Baggs and family. Such sad news 🙏.

Yesterday db and SIL came for coffee . We had a good catch up , they are always good company. Dh and Dd weren’t very well but we had lunch and watched a film with little DGD in the afternoon.

I’ll take gd to school this morning and all being well, will go to Chimes group, for some fun and laughter.

Take care 🌷

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Set to be a fair day today. We had a lovely dinner to celebrate GS’s 17th birthday yesterday and then back here to open presents, after which he was going off with friends to eat pizza and watch Superbowl. I slept badly and seem to be have a cold this morning so must check with a friend whether she still wants to go out to lunch today. She has health issues and I would hate to pass it on to her.
Baggs💐😔
Have the best day you can, folks.

kittylester Mon 12-Feb-24 07:26:20

Good morning, it’s drying up here in south Glos so my lovely gardener neighbour is helping my tidying the garden today, the boiler’s being serviced and the chimney sweep is coming too. A busy day!
Oh Baggs, my heart goes out to you and your family, so sorry to hear about your wonderful daughter.
A hug for anyone who needs one 🌹

Bellasnana Mon 12-Feb-24 07:37:53

Good morning from Malta where the weather looks ok at present. We had quite a hailstorm yesterday, huge balls of ice fell which is very unusual here.

After hearing the sad news from Baggs my heart is heavy. The loss of a child is the dread of every parent and the hardest grief to bear.

Take care all and hope your day goes well.☀️
