Good Morning Everyone,

I will be back to my normal bus to Bicester routine for a coffee etc .
Before I return , to watch cycling on TV in the afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. We are promised a lot of rain, especially later in the day.
I started some blood orange marmalade yesterday and will finish today. I’ve never used sweet oranges so am intrigued about the results.
T’ai chi this morning and my usual dinner with DD and family tonight. I hope I don’t get too wet getting there.
We had excitement in the complex yesterday. A BMW parked illegally for nearly a week was reported to the police. They collected it saying that it was “of interest”!
Maybtoday treat you kindly. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from s somerset, sun until noon and then heavy rain for the rest of the day

I had a varied day yesterday, cleaned a bit, especially my stove, which is now ready for its warm-season break and I will only be lighting it if we have a very chilly spell. Keeping on top of my cleaning is a doddle, especially my kitchen now that I have done a bit more de-cluttering. I am making sure to leave things sparkly every evening, nice to come down to

A brisk hill walk this morning, some baking and more sewing. I am being sure to ration the sewing, it is very enjoyable. I watched clean it fix it yesterday, very inspiring, they made a lovely craft room out of a muddle

Have a good day

Good morning, it’s a damp start to Thursday here in south Glos.
My dentist visit went well but I have a very sore gum with stitches because the filling was deep 😵‍💫☹️, relieved that I didn’t know that before I went!
Nothing planned for today except dog walking.
Hope all goes well for everyone today 🌹

Good morning from the South Downs.

A dry sunny day promised!! Yesterday I got wetter than I have done the whole of the winter - it was diabolical.
At last - I shall be found in the garden where bumble bees from the size of jumbo jets to little micro lights will be found buzzing around the winter honeysuckle and clematis. I have pots to plant up with spring colour and more end of winter tidying. I must also tidy “Thomas’s” area our late terrier ashes scattered where there are planted snowdrops and cyclamen Coum, which is being invaded with weeds. He died on February 8th 15 years ago and the flowers have thrived and spread and look delightful.

Pleased also to report my first week of intermittent fasting is beginning to show success - 1lb lost since Monday - hoorah - only another 13 at least to go😄😄

I am also getting to the end of the spring cleaning - good-oh - which means I can now ignore the house and concentrate on my real love - the garden.

Yesterday the weather was so bad we sat and watched television in the afternoon and binge watched “One Day” we did enjoy it but not something to watch if you are feeling sad and need uplifting.

Well enjoy your day all - I shall walk in the dry today!!

Peace and harmony (please) to the world.

Good morning from Durham. Another day of rain, although forecast to be mild.
No car today, but DD2’s Little Dog is here, so I’ll walk him up to the postbox at some point.
Hopefully the car doesn’t need any work and is ready to collect later.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire but mild. Had a nice day with GS yesterday. We had lunch in the pub at the bottom of our valley. Lovely food. We both had fish; sea bass for him and roasted hake for me. Then we had a bit of a walk before he went home. I’m mulling over whether to go out with the walking group today or do some gardening instead. It’s early yet. Coffee first!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from Severnside. Wet here and rain forecast. Tomorrow looks as if it will be better so I’m going to do my weekly shop today. I will hopefully be able to get out into the garden tomorrow.

My garden has a lot of water hanging in places. It’s getting worse as the years go by.

I hope MrPG enjoyed his surprises yesterday Pant 🤣

Best wishes to you all 🌺

Good morning from a rainy Cornwall. A long day of play yesterday with my granddaughter, baking, making slime etc etc. She brought walkie talkies which were fun until a Spanish man started talking on one of them, which bothered her a bit. I told her it was probably a passing lorry driver. 😁

Today I'll go hunting for some vibrant cushion material with jade green in the pattern, to contrast with all the denim I've used in my art room, and have my free Seniors coffee at our department store.

Have signed up for a five-week Lent course at a nearby church, on Women of the Old Testament, which should be fascinating.

Bellasnana Thu 15-Feb-24 06:39:57

Good morning from Malta where it is sunny and 17°C.

I’ve been feeling rotten since yesterday, it’s just a bad cold but I don’t know how I’ve dragged myself to DD3’s. It’s her long day at work as well but I’ll do my best to take care of the boys.

One is up and the other still asleep so breakfast will be delayed this morning.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 15-Feb-24 06:43:20

Morning all from a still dark West Oxfordshire.
I am taking my car to have its rear window wiper motor fixed this morning. I thought OH could have come with me and made a day if it in Oxford - but he doesn’t want to. Younger son doesn’t want to either as he’s working on his book. Just me then!
Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Thu 15-Feb-24 06:49:48

Good morning from a mild North Leicestershire.

I have a singing lesson today and DH has a hair appt and that's it until Sainsbury's delivery at 5ish.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks dry at the moment with heavy rain forecast in a few hours

Sorted through my work-life stuff, it all seems such a long while ago. Our neighbours funeral was as she would have wanted. As it wasn’t a day to be outside, nasty drizzly rain, yesterdays walk was round two shops.

As it’s going to be so miserable outside todays plan is to begin to tackle my filing shelves. Suspect Mr C will be kept occupied with the shredder. Unless they get a better offer our granddaughters will be here for their choice of a pasta meal later. A rare treat to have a chance to chat.

You do sound poorly bellasnana. Hope today isn’t too difficult and Thursday is kind to us all.

Pittcity Thu 15-Feb-24 07:17:19

Good morning from a damp, mild Colchester. 16 degrees is today's forecast.
Spending the day at DD2s with DGD who is now 7 months old and picking up her 8 year old brother from school later.
Love to all 🦩 x

Susan56 Thu 15-Feb-24 07:24:10

Good morning from Shropshire.A mild and damp start.Rain forecast later for much of the day.

Hope you feel better soon Bellasnanna.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

NanKate Thu 15-Feb-24 07:30:43

Good morning Mick and All.

We are promised a dry sunny day here in South Bucks.

Off to see the Eye man at Stoke Mandeville to be checked after laser surgery.

So sorry to hear you are unwell Bellasnana hope you have the strength to look after the twins 💐

luluaugust Thu 15-Feb-24 07:30:43

Good morning from a damp W Kent. Art group this morning I am going to redo what I started last week as the perspective looks wrong. Later it’s prescription collection and a voucher for SIL2’s birthday.
Bellasnana I hope you manage okay and feel a bit better soon.
Best wishes to all

GrannyIvy Thu 15-Feb-24 07:33:40

Good morning from the flooded fens. Hopefully no more rain today. Hope everyone has a good day. I have a Pilates class in Cambridge today and DH is going out on his bike with a friend. This afternoon we will chill with our books and TV. No GC duties today. Take care and hope the day will be kind to all

Taichinan Thu 15-Feb-24 07:52:22

Good morning Mick and all who follow. There seems to be a lot of wet weather in GNland today, and it's no better up here on the Angus coast. Fog and drizzle - yuk.
Bellasnanna I hope you feel better as the day goes on.
Your garden sounds lovely Whitewave - but my bumblebees are a couple of months away yet. Just shows the difference between north and south.
Today is Tai chi and shopping and then - nothing. I lose all incentive to do anything on miserable days like this, so I'll just coory down and fall asleep enjoy it!
Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 15-Feb-24 07:54:01

Morning all 👋 it’s grey, damp and mild here in S E Essex. No plans for me other than a stroll down the High Road.

Have a good day folks 🤣

Gingster Thu 15-Feb-24 07:59:51

Good morning all and we’re in for a dry, mild day today.

No school run for me today, so a leisurely shower, dog walk and bowls club this morning.

Maybe a swim with dh this afternoon.

Bellasnanna - try to have an easy day with the boys. They sound like good little chaps , so let them play and just be on hand for the essentials. 🤞.

I hope your days have a little joy .🌷

Kalu Thu 15-Feb-24 08:00:41

Good morning from Glasgow. Yes, it’s raining here too, when is it not these days? I miss my garden.

Some admin today and late afternoon a Waitrose shop, top of my list is daffodils. Due to strong winds, I have collected a few interesting twigs I found strewn around the garden and placed them in a large enamel vase, pleased with the effect I now have to find the right spot for it.

Hope you feel better soon Bellasnana.

Have the best day possible all.

brook2704 Thu 15-Feb-24 08:04:35

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s wet and about 3º, it’s warming up a bit!
Hope you feel a bit better soon Bellasnana it’s so hard looking after little ones when you’re not feeling your best
I’ve nothing planned today so will see how the day goes. I’ve the dreaded car insurance coming up for renewal so will need to shop around a bit for a reasonable quote. I’d love to get outside in the garden too if the rain stops later. Definitely no signs of bumble bees here either, but I have got a lovely winter flowering jasmine with gorgeous sunny yellow flowers
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings

Grandmabatty Thu 15-Feb-24 08:05:02

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7°, wet and misty. Pretty much the same as yesterday. Bellasnana I hope you feel better soon. GrandMattie I wonder if the car had been stolen and used in a crime?
Yesterday was a quiet day although I managed to clear out a drawer of assorted stuff and tidy up. I have lost the key to the french doors which lead out onto the deck from my bedroom and it's very annoying.
Today I'm not going out because I've been up with stomach problems and I feel a bit under the weather. So no art class today and another quiet day ahead. Have a good day all

Alygran Thu 15-Feb-24 08:12:07

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Raining here too.
Taking my neighbour to a hospital appointment otherwise another day at home.
I’m expecting a guide book on Seville so I can start to look into what to see and do. I’m off to Spain in September with some friends.
Have a good day everyone.
