Good morning from a sodden s somerset, which will become more sodden today, under dark clouds.

Lots of spinning done yesterday, spinning, winding off and some now plied, 3 strands together. Takes me a long time but it is nice and zen and purposeful. I will make some skeins later today. I had 600g of fluff and still have about 180g to spin

My hip/lower back is feeling the lack of walking/cycling this winter. I hope I get an allotment soon, that always helps keep me mobile, especially as it is up a hill and I can get there easily on my bike

Good morning, it’s too dark to see the weather, but Alexa tells me it will rain from 11am to 11 pm, we shall see.
Soups to make today and then some serious floor washing where MrOops has been treading mud everywhere.

Usual coffee morning in a cold church yesterday - being “modern” church (approx 100 years old), it heats up easily, not like the bone chilling in the 11th and 12th century churches I have been used to!
We had a group of hand bell ringers come, minus bells. Apparently, there is a set of bells in the church. I ever found out as neither the vicar nor his curate were there - with the necessary keys.
Quiet afternoon, sewing.
Church this morning, then empty. I’m on the final bits to finish the quilt I’m making. When that’s done, I want to appliqué some cushions to put on a long seat under my window recess.

Good morning from a hospital ward in Cornwall, where they're trying to sort my cough. Can feel blissful cooling wind through the window behind me which I opened last night. I won't go into detail but I'll ask to go home this evening and recover there. It's been tricky this time. Whoever knew that in A&E there is an Ambulatory Decision Lounge? 😆 Me, having spent a whole sleepless Friday night in there. But the treatment was spot on, mostly.

A two-year wait for our allotments here Karmalady and my London friend says it's seven years near her, so you are very fortunate by the sound of it.

Today, more coughing 😉, more nice food, endless tea and biscuits, then when my son passes through later, assuming I can persuade a consultant to let me go, I'll be back in my cosy hub.

Whatever your news was Urms, if you're pleased, I'm pleased.

Morning Mick, morning All. It seems our soggy corner of Somerset is due another deluge later. Getting concerned at the water levels now, the ground just can’t cope with more wet.

Enjoyed some respite yesterday, out came the sun for a while and out we went. Drove along the coast, a short walk and lunch. Preparation later for todays birthday get together. Delighted to receive photos of our friend smiling happily in her new room. We hope to visit later in the year.

Mr C has a birthday today, our son had his yesterday. There will be lunch for eight at our little garden centre then back here for snacks, cake and chaos.

Thank you for yesterdays cheering update urms. My love to you all. That was an eventful trip mick.

Thank you cornergran, I daren't stay because my lungs are reacting to this atmosphere. They've given me strong antibiotics and steroid tablets so I'll be safe to go home. They'll let me go as it was only supposed to be a quick visit anyway.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 1°C here. The full moon last night was very bright and lit my way home from a folk concert at a local church hall. It was extremely toocosy in there. I went to the Gaelic café in the afternoon, played scrabble and had some good chats in English to old friends.

I hope your trip to hospital wasn't frightening Mizuna and hope the cause is found soon. Try to enjoy the enforced rest.

Good morning from dark South Lanarkshire where it’s damp but not actually raining.

Mass this morning then we will head over to DD’s for an hour to see the children before going out for late lunch/early dinner with some friends.

Thinking especially of those struggling with pain or sorrow today.

Good morning from Glasgow. It’s still dark outside but so far, no sound of rain and it feels chillier too.

A quiet Sunday ahead means I’m can choose to do whatever I fancy; Reading, knitting or some craft work. DD1 and the girls will appear at some point late afternoon and may or may not stay for dinner. We just go with the flow which makes life more simple. DH has found his appetite again and has gained 6lbs, something which we are thrilled about. It’s such an emotional rollercoaster which many of you can attest to. Hey ho, we just get on with it.

Hoping a pleasant Sunday is ahead for all especially for those who are unwell or struggling through worrying times.

What a rotten time of it you are having Mizuna. Hope you feel some improvement soon getting you back to a healthier you.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Frosty in South Yorkshire but not as heavy as yesterday. A wonderful sunrise too. DD and I had a two hour pottery session yesterday learning to throw on a wheel. Gosh it’s harder than either of us thought, but we both managed to produce a couple of passable pieces which will be glazed and fired. Whether they will survive the firing is another matter! We enjoyed ourselves hugely; the instructor was very supportive and very funny. A past contestant on pottery throwdown apparently. Would I do it again? Not sure but we’ll see!
Today I have nothing planned except to do some work on my rockery wall when it warms up a bit!

Good morning from a hillside in foggy south Glos, a very murky morning here but never mind, it’s going to be raining again by lunchtime 🙄
Yesterday I took a big bag of yarn to a friend who enjoys crocheting knee blankets for the residents of the nursing home where she works.
The dog and I enjoyed our morning amble, we met several other dog walkers en route.
Today a roast dinner and perhaps an Apple strudel from the freezer for dessert- I tidied out the freezer yesterday so I actually know what’s in there now! It would help if DH wasn’t of the ‘ram it all in somewhere’ persuasion when it comes to putting things away 🤷🏼‍♀️

Good morning all from a frosty Angus coast where the sky is clear and prettily pink before sunrise in 30 minutes. The full moon is still shining brightly, though on the wane. And that's why I'm up so early! It certainly seems to have an effect on me and after a night of no sleep until after 3am and then wide awake at 6.30 (again!) I was glad to get up

Marydoll I'm glad you managed to see your own GP the other day. I read yesterday in an article "research suggests that doctors who are familiar with a patient make fewer biased judgements about them" and that you should whenever possible ask to see a specific doctor. I thought of your post as soon as I read that!
I'm away over to Perth for brunch at our favourite restaurant with DD, New Man, DGD3 and her boyfriend before DD and NM return down south. I'm looking forward to that if course, and also to hearing how they enjoyed their spell in an Escape Room. I know they 'escaped' because I was sent a triumphant photo of them all!
My lovely gardener returned yesterday 'for the summer' with his grandson and set to clearing the winter debris - he's more a 'general factotum' really and worth his weight in gold. I'm very lucky to have him.

Good morning from the South Downs. More rain forecast.

Yesterday when out with the dog we got caught in a huge hail storm. We sheltered under an evergreen but it was quite unpleasant for a while. Duncan was white with the hail! I must say that I am getting a tad fed up with this incessant rain.

I bought what I thought was a bit extravagant a completely waterproof and padded with a very effective hood and long coat last autumn - but it has been worth its weight in gold - keeping me dry and very warm ever since.

I did manage to sow the sweet peas though, with Tofu sitting on the fence blinking at me.

urms not sure of your news but 👍👍.
mizuma we need the summer and dry weather to get rid of all these coughs.

Meant to include these photos taken yesterday. My first daffodil is in bloom! There are literally hundreds more to follow, but this little beauty is always first. The other photo is part of the view I love from my window/garden. Spring has definitely sprung - even this far north!
