Good Morning Everyone,
Dark with signs of overnight rain or mist/fog here in brackley .
Yesterdays trip out was not perfect , on the outward leg to Bicester lost time due to a road accident , this was also causing problems returning with the driver asking her garage for permission to return a different way .
Today I am hoping for a trouble free journey on the bus , otherwise on the health front weight is starting to gain ,and my system is acting normal as to toilet issues .
More cycling on TV later ,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. I'm still full of cold so not doing much today.
Love to all 🦩 x

Grammaretto Wed 28-Feb-24 08:30:04

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Another dreich start with no sign of the sun.

Yarn group this morning which always cheers.

Gaelic class yesterday and I have booked another short course on the Isle of Skye in the summer. I enjoyed last year's very much.

Sorry you're in constant pain Marydoll. Would a pain management course help you? I am on a waiting list for one for my hip. While I wait in the queue for a new hip, I'm in another queue 😂

An auction sounds exciting Bonny
I have often thought about that but don't know how to go about it.

Get well soon Grandmabatty and anyone else who's below par.

Got so carried away about dog poo, I forgot to say it’s DD1’s birthday today - 45 and DD2 has a half-birthday too. We’re saving celebrations for the weekend. X

GrannySomerset Wed 28-Feb-24 08:40:14

Out for brunch this morning and singing this afternoon so a more lively day than most. Fine at present but rain later - again. It’s never ending. Sorry that Marydoll is having such a rotten time and hope a solution is offered. Hope too for a good enough day for all of us with spring flowers to cheer us.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle where the sun is trying but will likely not succeed.
Yesterday it showered all day, hardly a break in between them.
Today, continue with housework and laundry in the morning and the reading of my book in the afternoon. Plus I need to ring my travel insurance company to get my insurance for a forthcoming holiday reinstated. They suspended it whilst I was awaiting a scan even though it wasn't an investigation for a new condition. Yesterday I was informed the scan was clear, no kidney stones. Years since my one and only attack and not something I want ever again!

Have a good day all.

Good morning from Glasgow. It’s a dreich wet day.

I have an appointment with the practice pharmacist this morning and this afternoon, by which time I hope the rain has stopped, a hairdresser appointment with the welcoming cheerful blethering over coffee with the usual suspects.

Have the best day possible all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dreary in South Yorkshire with rain expected later. I slept very late this morning - woke up thinking it was half past six but the six should have been an eight. The bin lorry woke me up and I had forgotten to put the bin out. That’s another post it note I shall have to fall back on!
Writers group at the library this afternoon.
Have the best day you can folks.

Grammaretto, I have already seen a pain management consultant. Nothing much left to be done.
I do not wish to increase my already industrial strength pain meds, because I won't be able to drive. This has already been tried.
Physio hasn't helped, because RA is systemic and attacks the whole body, unfortunately.
It is a b*gger of a condition, but I won't let it defeat me. It is so unpredictable.
However, I am already thinking of planning the next Glesca Grannies meet up! 😉 Watch this space!

Taichinan Wed 28-Feb-24 09:04:53

Good morning all. It's forecast to be drizzle and a brisk breeze on the Angus coast today, but at the moment it's hazy bright and dry.
Enjoy your trip away Sar and your DGD's show.
WhiteWave - The Case of the Disappearing Post! That happens to me quite frequently and it's so annoying! Hope you're feeling brighter today though.
I think you're entitled to a grumpy day after a night like that Marydoll. After a couple of nights of good sleep I was back to a night of many rounds with a champion boxer last night so I'm feeling somewhat less than rested and ready for nothing.
Yesterday's tai chi class went well, although there was distressing news about our two oldest members. One will definitely not be back with us, but the other is determined that he will be. He loves his tai chi, went to as many classes a week that he could get to and practises daily, so I won't be surprised to see him again one of these days. As far as age goes, I'm next - those two are 84 to my 82. I know these things have nothing to do with our actual numbers, but it's a strangely disconcerting realisation.
But enough of that - today's today and my first job is to get to grips with the efficient loading of the new dishwasher - it doesn't seem as spacious as the last one, although it fits neatly into the same integrated space.
Enjoy all your doings today everyone, with a lessening of pain and improvement of colds. 🦋☀️

Morning from South Lanarkshire, usual weather but at the moment no rain.

I’m off to mass soon and on the way I’m going to put a massive bedspread into the cleaners. It’s been sitting on top of a wardrobe for goodness knows how long, waiting till I got round to having it cleaned and handed into a charity shop. I’ve now decided that after the cleaning it can go back on my bed and give me a change instead!

Later on it’s exercise group now lunch group. I’m glad it is continuing, they’re a nice group of women although one is turning into a bit of a loose cannon and nobody knows quite what to do!

Wishing everyone the best day possible. Glad to hear your meet up planning skills haven’t been lost Marydoll!

Good morning everyone from a misty and grey Northampton. Forecast to remain so all day.
Had a lovely walk in glorious sunshine yesterday, 14 of us turned out for the group, including 2 new walkers. Followed by coffee and friendly chat. It was good to have company yesterday, as it was 6 years to the day since DH died.

I had a gardener come on Monday to give me a quote for a good tidy up of my large garden,.and he is booked to come in March; he will also cut the grass. I'm afraid it is all getting too much for me, so I will be mightily relieved. The only downside is that we uncovered a very wobbly fence which will need dealing with.

Book club this afternoon; we will be discussing Laurie Lee's 'A Rose for Winter'. (And enjoying cake!)
The.dishwasher to empty, and fish to get out of the freezer for dinner tonight, so quite a gentle morning.

Good morning Mick and all from drizzly Lancashire, currently 5°C and drizzling.

Yesterday I was feeling rather under the weather, so the Swedish death clean was put on hold. I had a lazy day listening to the radio and a few podcasts. I finished the Thursday Murder Club, which I enjoyed. It had mixed reviews on here and it took me a little while to get into it. I’m glad I did, it was just what I needed yesterday. Not much planned for today, MrB is expecting a parcel to be delivered so we may leave the farm shop until tomorrow.

Have a good day whatever you’re doing 🌻

Grammaretto if you want to take something for auction, look up a local auction house, they should have a list of valuation days. Take your item/s along and they will either give you a valuation, take the item in for sale and charge you a fee or they will tell you it has little value and you will be going to the charity shop!

Good morning from a cold, grey and dry (for now) Co Durham.
💐 and hugs as appropriate. Another nothing day here. Roll on the spring might lift my spirits.
