I see the usual accusations are being thrown out again about me making it up. I am only going to say this. Eldest will be at home for the foreseeable, possibly forever. Her sisters flat got approved today, to cheer Eldest up, I said now I can buy her a cat (her sister dislikes them so Eldest has not been able to have one) she looked tearful and said she doesn't want one.
I tried but it seems I can't do anything right.

So she couldn't even have a cat just because her sister 'dislikes them'? Not because she has an allergy or a genuine phobia, but just 'doesnt like them'? If that's the case, I'm not surprised eldest doesn't want one now - too little, too late!
If only you all paid as much attention to your eldest granddaughter's feelings as you do to those of her sister.

Now she can she doesn't want one as she has apparently also said that it means that we all think she is going to be at home forever and not have a chance of moving into a flat of her own one day because if we did think that then we wouldn't be suggesting getting a cat. As I said, can't do right for doing wrong.

The whole story is weird. More so with every instalment. It seems to have taken a long time for this flat to be ‘approved’, whatever that means - I’m not sure the OP knows what it means.

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but you seem to be under the misapprehension that the majority of posters on this thread actually give a shit as to what your family do/ think when actually we dont
