My cat has a cat flap in the back door. We also have patio doors in the lounge. He will sit outside the patio doors meowing piteously rather than take the easy way of using the catflap. Cats rule!!

We have a cat flap in our little office.
Our cat sits and meows either outside our bedroom window or at the kitchen door.
He will use the cat flap at night or if we're not in.
He's definitely in charge in this house.

My friend's cat trained her to go outside and post him through the cat flap, so he could come in.

We have a perfectly good cat flap in the Utility room leading to the back garden, which Milo and Ripley are happy to use. But sometimes, once or twice a week they go through the cat flap and then trot round to the front of the house and scratch at the front door. Mad.

Mine are just the same. They are just keeping us under the thumb I think!

My neighbour’s cat will sit on their front windowsill in pouring rain rather than walk five yards to his cat flap.

He wears a collar with a camera, and, oh my, the places he goes to! He’s a Six Dinner Sid and his house staff have make appeals to neighbours not to feed him. He doesn’t look as though he’ll fade away any time soon.

My grandcat (son’s cat) has a cat tunnel into the house. The builders of the extension were a bit bemused when they were asked to build one. The cat uses it to come in, but why use it to go out when you can sit by the door and meow till your human slave opens it for you?

I love cats!

On the subject of cats, does anyone else "see" their cat when you definitely know they've gone out. I swear I see Marmalade out the corner of my eye, hear him or feel him brushing past me when I know full well he's just gone out the cat flap. This isn't all the time but enough to make me doubt my sanity.

Is it just me? Just for clarity, I only do this with the cat and otherwise I'm in control of my faculties.

Amazon have reduced their use of boxes. I have managed to get a couple from friends and he squeezed his big, fat self into a large shoe box.
He’s another one who has two large cat flaps but he sits and waits for the door to be opened.
He comes to me for kisses and cuddles and my husband for a fight.

They have a cat down to a tee.

DDs cat goes to the front door to be let out but if it's raining goes to the back door in case the weather is somehow better the other side of the house.

I have been airing the house out s but and saw my cat just dangling fully stretched from the top window... I had to go and fetch her down because she didn't seem to know how to get out of that situation

I don't know how they can be so dignified and daft at the same time

2 of my cats are getting older now and just cannot make the jumps they used to but do not learn... I am going to have to start cat proofing some of the furniture

Also, why do they pick a spot to sleep and refuse to sleep anywhere else for the next 2 weeks even if that is half way up the stairs

What I envy most is how they always look comfortable

Yes, and they fight tooth and nail if you try to entice them into the £40 sheepskin cat hammock for over the radiator.

Lol! Cat beds are a waste of money lol

You just need to leave whatever you are doing for 30 seconds and there will be a cat asleep in it or on it that looks like they were there for hours

My friends cat used to sleep in her bathroom sink.
No blanket, no cover, just the leaky old sink.

They are all completely bonkers I think
