Honesty - How honest are you?!

Over the years I’ve returned 4 wallets/purses to the owners ….one , who didn’t have a phone number in the purse , was a two bus ride away ….when I handed the wallet over she said “ pity you couldn’t have gotten it to me before I cancelled my cards”……I explained that I didn’t drive and had to catch two buses ….she just shrugged and shut door in my face.
Ah well….another two buses home them is it!? 🤬,

As well as most people being honest, on a recent trip on my own to a very large city (we live in a very remote far off spot normally, so well out of my comfort zone) I was very heartened and warmed by the number of people who offered help with my bulky case or a seat on a tram or train or were just generally kind and helpful if I asked the way to somewhere. There are indeed so many good people out there who don’t make the news

Goodness MOnica! Why wouldn’t your son want you to benefit from his Netflix account? It doesn’t make any difference to him. And he must have given you the log-in details at some point.

We have AmazonPrime but if there’s a series or film you have to pay for I always check my son’s account to see if he’s bought it. And he sometimes has. He lives 130-miles away. He volunteered his log-in details and he’s happy enough for us to use it - although it has only happened half-a-dozen times over the years.

I often wonder how much money I would hand in. For example, if I found a £10 note in the road I would keep it. I might keep £20. But anything more than that I think I would hand in to the police. Hmm....? What would others do?

my husband has found 2 wallets ( separate incidents)when we have been shopping. We returned the first to the police station and the owner rang us offering a reward. We did not want any reward but said if he wanted , he could give a donation to the dogs trust
the second time, there was no police station for several miles. The lady in the bank took it in and said she would contact the person as it seemed to be a customer. We had not even opened the wallet to check as that seemed an invasion of privacy
I found a wallet on a bus and took it to the bus station
-again unopened
Saying that I was undercharged by 80 pence on Saturday. I did not tell the assistant as a few months ago there was an unsatisfactory purchase and felt justified that the 80p went someway towards compensation. I had not kept the receipt for the unsatisfactory item. So not honest for 100% of the time
