Good morning from sunny Colchester. Rain and single figure temperatures is today's forecast.
Nothing on the calendar, so a lazy day here. DS only brought home a few bits of laundry ...not even that to occupy me.
Will play it by ear and do a bit more on my family tree.

RosesandLilac, perhaps leave the moving of furniture to someone else. (Pot calling the kettle etc), .Persistant breathlessness and being told nothing much can be done, is quite a downer.

GG, I hope the back is improving. GM, what an asset you are to your church and your height ours must love you!

I have nothing planned today except updating the Parish website and attending Vigil Mass.
Life is a bit of a struggling just now. So much so, Mizuna, that I haven't been out to photograph the fruit trees.

I was in tears last night, when I opened a text on our Family chat from DS1,
It was to inform me that since DH will be seventy five next year and I will be seventy 😱, my children have booked accommodation in one of my favourite Fife coastal villages for all of us to celebrate together. DD and DIL, as well as myself have birthdays that week. I am overwhelmed. It is so unlike him to be so demonstrative.

My thoughts are with all who are struggling just now, whatever the reason. Enjoy all your outings and family events.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Off to sort out Easter eggs this morning as DD2 has invited us for lunch on Easter Sunday. Her life is very busy so I wasn’t expecting an invite pile of washing looking at me as well and a curry to make.

Good morning from a beautiful sunny Suffolk which has changed so much in my 5 days away.

The fields surrounding our cottage are bright yellow with the rape which has flowered and the cherry tree,ordered by DD1 when she was about 9( she is now nearly 48) from saving Robertson’s golliwogs from the jam jars has burst into bloom.

I have missed all your news and hope that those who were unwell are getting better and those with worries are less stressed.

My friend and I have had a brilliant holiday in Eastbourne on our coach trip. Lots of laughs,and interesting outings to the Turner prize exhibition, a matinee performance of ‘A school for scandal’ and a walk around the old part of Hastings with the 2 fascinating and small museums of the fishing industry and shipwreck exhibits.

Being only 4 miles from the sea and DH’s grandfathers both being trawler skippers, fishing is still of great interest in our family.

Hoping this lovely sun lasts as a few hours in the garden would be a great way to spend part of today.

DD2 is here. We had a lovely Indian meal last night.
The joiner will be here shortly to check the measurements for the front door surround, then we are off to see the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at the Bowes Museum.

Good morning everyone from a damp south Manchester. It’s good to be back, I’ve missed Himself although my few days away were a much needed tonic. We have no plans today which is lovely and will just enjoy our day as it unfolds as we are back at the Christie 2 days every week again for more chemotherapy. Then a scan.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton. If it stays dry I shall cut the front grass this afternoon. I managed to do the other half of my large back lawn yesterday afternoon.

Two full-on dance classes yesterday morning; we have started to learn part of the routine for the annual tapathon, which isn't until November; it will take me that long to get it into my head! Four of us went for coffee afterwards and had a good chat.

Phoned the insurance company about my not heating oven yesterday and an engineer is booked for next Thursday.

A visit to M&S Food this morning for a few odds and ends. Shall have a coffee out, but no snack, as I'm trying to lose a few lbs before my cruise. End of week one, and I have lost 2lbs.

Felt quite emotional yesterday on hearing the news about the Princess of Wales; poor, poor lady. It must be hard for William, his wife and father both with cancer. And so terrible for their children, a lot to take in for the poor little souls. Wishing them all the best.

Good morning all from a chilly and windy Angus coast. My washing is blowing cheerily on the line - not because I got it our early this morning, but because I clean forgot about it until about 11pm last night. Ooops! I think it might be dry now!
You've certainly been through the wars, Rosesandlilac - my sister went through similar, so I know how debilitating and annoyingly restrictive that is. The biggest bunch of 🌹 and lilac heading your way, together with a 🫂
I too was so sorry to hear Princess Kate's news yesterday. It sounds as if they found pre-cancerous cells after her op so it's been caught, and will be treated, as early as possible. Let's hope the odious gutter press will leave her and her lovely family alone now.
Tai chi at the Balance Clinic went well yesterday and was received with humour and enthusiasm - and interest in classes. Nothing wrong with doing your tai chi from your chair Corner!
After the clinic three of us went out for a coffee and then two of us decided to go for lunch, before I went home and hung the washing out rather late in the day and then forgot all about it 😉
Now today simply must be admin day. Maybe.

Good morning from a sunny but very windy NE yet again.
DS and GD2 are visiting this afternoon and will probably be here by lunchtime as DIL and GD1 are away in Sheffield for another open day at the university.
I had been watching TV all afternoon yesterday but had switched off when the news came about the Princess, my sister messaged me on my tablet. I was shocked and was sorry that she felt she had to make the announcement herself.
DD is travelling to the UK on Eurostar, hoping all goes smoothly and she will be with SIL by mid afternoon.

Good morning from a dry Lancashire. After a productive shopping trip to Boundary Mill, we are today heading to a large M & S in Ellesmere Port. Another first for me! Really enjoy being with my dear sister.

Alygran enjoy the Bowes Museum, one of our favourite places, it’s less than an hour from our home.

Good morning Mick and all from Windsor where I am staying with DD. She drove down and it was a good journey.
As I mentioned on another thread, on our way to a restaurant passing the castle, we were stopped for a comment on the sad news by the BBC and the interviewer took a photo. Don’t know where it went!
Off to see a friend’s new kittens this afternoon followed by a meal and the theatre this evening.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I am VERY late this morning! It must have rained very hard last night, but the sun is sort of out this morning. I got back from school yesterday and cut the front lawn. It took ages as it’s full of moss and a struggle to get the mower through. I was exhausted all evening. I seem to run out of steam very easily these days. The next thing will be to scarify it. Nothing much planned for today except a food shop.

Very chilly but bright this morning and not raining till later so may get the washing outside as the dizziness seems to have subsided - hurrah!

So sad to learn of the PoW diagnosis. Nobody is immune from cancer and the RF is having a horrible time.

Good morning Mick and all from windy Lancashire, currently 6°C. There has been some overnight rain but it’s dry at the moment.

We managed to get through it few chores and some essential admin yesterday. Last night was movie night and we were late to bed, so had a long lie in this morning. The railway museum is running steam locomotives today and tomorrow so am hoping to get some photos.

Blossoming I tripped over the floor as I was demonstrating yesterday!! (My shoes and the carpet were incompatible 😉😂). However I didn't fall over "because I do tai chi and my balance is good". Excellent teaching point 😂
